How do i reprogram a land rover discovery two
if its a replacemet fob it can only be done with diagnostic equipment
if its the original fob you need to de-activate the alarm system with a 4 digit code from the vehicles security card, I cant recall how to do it but details are in the owner's hand book. once the alarm is dissabled you need to hold the fob close to the vehicle and press either of the buttons on the fob 4 times or more in quick succession.
The ckeck engine light landrover
There are so many different things that could cause the check engine light to come on,you could spend thousands trying to fix things and still not get it to go off.I would check my fluids, make sure they are good.If you have a state where it will cause you to fail inspection,it would need computer diagnostic test.If not,I wouldn't worry too much about it,unless your car starts to run bad, misfiring or jerking around, stuff like that.If it is running fine, piece of cake. You would not believe some of the minor stupid junk that will turn that light on.If you are having bad running issues, just reply to this post and I will get an auto email saying that you did and we'll see if we can figure it out.Good luck! Hello! How did you check the refrigerant level; Did you look in the sight glass? With engine running... A/C off...You should see bubbles in the sight glass...When A/C is turned on ...If you observe bubbles the refrigerant is low...The problem, as you describe it, appears to be low refrigerant...Send a comment.......Guru.................Saailer

I can't figure out how to get at the pump
Remove Jack from front left hand fender area. There are 3 rubber grommets that attach to the vacum compressor , which you will see If you look immediately beneath the compressor location.Feed these grommets back up into the compressor location area from beneath, and hey presto you have loosened the vacum pump for removal.
Compressor is accessed by 2 large holes in bottom plate upon which the tyre jack sits.It will pull out through these holes with a bit of manouvering.Be warned its like doing keyhole surgery.
Unable to locate spider box on 1997 land rover
Unless you strip the entire car interior, you will be lucky to find it. Not even land rover knows where it is, at the factory they fitted them in many different places, this was for security reasons. Believe me , i have hunted for it as well, and ended up stripping the car. Good luck.
Stuck in park
Do you hear a solenoid click near the shifter when you press the brake pedal?
My 1997 land rover radio just says code it wont
look in your owners manual or if a radio manual came with it look there. there should be a four digit code there for the anti theft feature on that radio. The automakers put it there to keep people from stealing the stock radios from cars. It's mostly a pain in the patootie because most car thieves aren't looking for stock radios. Good luck.
I have a Land Rover Discovery 97 that gets a bad
It will be the steering damper, now, if you have replaced this recently, then the damper is propably fitted at the wrong angle, instead of being straight ( horizontal ) it should be pointing down at an angle. If you have not changed the steering damper, then i suggest that you do. In my experience, i would not recommend Monroe steering dampers fror Land Rover, try to get Old Man Emu,, Bilstein or Woodhead, or if there is a Britpart supplier, i can recommend the Cellular Dynamic. Hope that helps
