I have a 2002 Lincoln Ls 3.9L V-8 the traction control doesn't dis-engage could this be the switch or a bigger problem?
Hogwash!! The traction control is incorporated with the ABS system and operates using the same sensors. It becomes active when one or more wheel speed sensors determine a slip in traction. If the vehicle is equipped with a traction button for turning off the system and it doesn't turn off, the button may be defective or possibly the control module.A scan test may be required on this module to determine the fault within the system. Your engine will not succumb to any damage. This mechanic needs some more training
How do I disable the car alarm?
The electronics are complex.
I would advise you not to tamper with the alarm system as that is likely to trigger the security/immobilise system and stop you from starting the car.
I would take the car to a Ford service center and discuss some options with them for either fixing the problem you have with the alarm or disabling the alarm in manner that will not cause problems with the security system.
Will crank but won't turn over
