Blower motor doesn't come on. Traced electrical

That is a BSC, or blower speed controller. This is a very common concern, in most cases if you simply wiggle the harness the controller will start to work.
This should be located on the a/c case under the hood below the heater hoses.

Lincoln Towncar won't start

When the theft light blinks fast when trying to start the car, check if this occurs; if yes, then the car is in theft mode. I do strongly believe the next step is to program the keys. If the PCM was bad, the light would be steady when trying to start which indicates the PATS system is working correctly.

I have a 2001 Lincoln

If it only does it when it sat a day or so, I would
lean toward fuel pump issues

That is a thin line to come back here & have to support
that statement.

I would be up on my spark plugs, cleaning maf sensor, replacing
O2 Sensors etc, only when they are due, based on time & mileage

eg: get the basics out of the way first.

An old battery can do that also

You say cranks fine after initial crank
Some people refer to cranking ,as meaning a no start
condition. Cranking has little to do with starting

The more I read your question the similar it is to others

You don't have a problem with the car starting at all

You have a problem with the starter turning over the engine

Help me out here

Not backing up if car

Not getting past 45mph, is almost a damaged exhaust converter,
that has broken down inside & is clogged

That should not happen in ten years,so you have had misfires
or rich fuel conditions over the years, that ruined it

Next would be a totally bocked gas filter
Not as likely, if it were changed ever 3 to 5 years, it should be okey

The transmissiom issues I will only say due to having once owned
a trans shop & the 10 years on the car.
Your are most likely only going to fix that, by pulling it out & rebuilding it

Why?

Because no one ever changes trans & include power steering fluid,
every 3 years & not over 30,000 miles

Not changing trans fluid is a death sentence

Door lights stays on after door is closed

Hello

What you need to do first is to control the light from the switch to see if it is set to off or door,if it is door,it might not go off immediately until you start the car.If it is set on off then there might be an electrical problem and you might have to get an expert to fix it for you.

How does power get to

There is a fuel pump relay and a fuse...In the under-hood fuse box, fuse #22 (20 amp) powers the fuel pump relay. The best method of ensuring the fuel pump is getting proper voltage is testing for power at the intertia switch (fuel cut-off in case of an accident). It is on the driver's side of the trunk behind the liner. Ground a test light and have a assistant cycle the key. It should be powered for about 3-5 seconds initially after the key is cycled to the start position.
I hope this helps.

My transmission seems to hesitate

Does this happen with the overdrive off or on? If it happens with the overdrive on, then suggest you try it without the overdrive and see if your indications change. The overdrive normally starts to operate in that range. While both are transmission problems the overdrive isn't as hard to repair.

What to do if your door ajar light and interior

This problem is caused by one or more of the tiny micro switches that sense the door is latched being defective, The dealer can run a special scan of the body control system module and detect which switch is defective, each door has a switch attached to the door latch and this requires the door panel be removed and the rear glass channel taken out to replace the twist in switches, so knowing which switch is the problem can save allot of time and money, so the system scan is essential.

2001 lincoln town car overheated

What you need is a real mechanic to first figure out what is actually wrong with it, then replace that part. Just randomly replacing parts and hoping for the best makes no sense and can be very expensive. If it overheated badly you could have also suffered irreparable harm to the motor.

Many issues can cause overheating, your description does not provide any info which could even point someone in the right direction to consider what could be wrong with the car.

2001 lincoln town car, 125k

I would try replacing the oil sending unit. If that does not fix it the next thing would be the oil pump or the cam bearings. But you do not have enough miles on it to indicate this.
