Ac fan motor and heater fan does not work
This is a common problem with the blower fan resistor. Find your blower fan motor. Follow the wires by the Firewall to a part mounted in the ductwork. It usually has 2 screwmounts and 1 wired plug. For some reason, the part may respond by tapping it with a broom handle or icescraper handle. It may last for years after that. Or if you buy a new part, it may do the same thing for no apparent reason. The position of this switch is often blocked by an engine heater line. The water will usually stay in the line if the engine is cold by vacuum retention and if you disconnect the electric plug and both mounting screws you can swap the parts with 1 hand while holding the loose end of the disconnected heater hose. You just have to have everything in place before removing the water hose. You can then reattach the water hose and reclamp it. Then work on the switch. The higher end Lincoln dash units have a self-diagnostic Code which when programmed will tell which Climate control part is bad. This is a diferent Coding system than for the engine system. You would need to know the trigger Code and have a Legend of corresponding problems they match to.But this feature could easily be used in a Service writeup area as it takes less than 5 minutes to run.I hope my solution, especially the free one with the broom handle helps you.
How to override my antitheft system
The best way to do it is to use the correct key for the vehicle. If you are using the correct key, then you need to get your immobilizer system properly diagnosed and repaired. There is no way to "override" the system without damaging the computer system that controls it (which also makes your engine run). Please note: There are many self-proclaimed "auto experts" that will point you in the direction of several web sites that claim to show you how to do such things. Some of them can work, some of them cannot possibly work - ALL of them are opening up a can of worms that you will probably not be wanting to deal with (or pay for) once it is opened....I would think LONG and HARD before attempting any modifications to your vehicle or its computer systems....It may cost you a small fortune if you later decide that the modifications need to be reversed in order to get your vehicle functioning correctly.

Driver side windows is not working on my 2001 town car
it could be one of two things..either the window motor itself or the switch is bad...you need to pull door panel off and use a voltmeter. Attach your voltmeter to the connector attached to the window motor w/ your meter set on 12volt dc..turn the key to the run position and move the window switch in both directions. If you get a full 12volts at the motor then the motor is bad..if you get no voltage readings then its your switch.
2001 lincoln town car turn flasher location
There is no external turn signal flasher on a 2001 Town Car. The flasher unit is an internal part of the Lighting Control Module (LCM) and can not be serviced seperately. The LCM is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. It may also be referred to as the MECM (Mutli-Function Electroninc Control Module).
Got trouble code p0125. Car starts then idles way low then climbs back to regular idle. What is the problem?
I have a 96 Towncar, which had a P0125 trouble code set. I changed the thermostat and cleared the code - only to have it reset in a couple minutes after starting. The car was hard starting, and died several times before it actually ran. I did also noticed that while running the idle speed had risen to over 950 RPM.I changed the Temperature sending unit located next to the thermostat housing, and again cleared the code. After starting the car again it performed excellently and did not reset the P0125 trouble code.
2001 lincoln town car repair manual
I would suggest looking online first. Generally with older vehicles you aren't able to get much help from the manufacturers and there are a lot of places online that will have the repair manuals available. I will say though that unless you are getting a very big repair done, it might be best to just have a mechanic fix the car for you. Generally it's not worth it to go through the trouble of figuring out how to fix a problem and actually do the work for smaller repairs. It's much simpler and easier to just take it to a professional.

Lincoln Towncar won't start
When the theft light blinks fast when trying to start the car, check if this occurs; if yes, then the car is in theft mode. I do strongly believe the next step is to program the keys. If the PCM was bad, the light would be steady when trying to start which indicates the PATS system is working correctly.
I have a 2001 Lincoln
If it only does it when it sat a day or so, I would
lean toward fuel pump issues
That is a thin line to come back here & have to support
that statement.
I would be up on my spark plugs, cleaning maf sensor, replacing
O2 Sensors etc, only when they are due, based on time & mileage
eg: get the basics out of the way first.
An old battery can do that also
You say cranks fine after initial crank
Some people refer to cranking ,as meaning a no start
condition. Cranking has little to do with starting
The more I read your question the similar it is to others
You don't have a problem with the car starting at all
You have a problem with the starter turning over the engine
Help me out here
How does power get to
There is a fuel pump relay and a fuse...In the under-hood fuse box, fuse #22 (20 amp) powers the fuel pump relay. The best method of ensuring the fuel pump is getting proper voltage is testing for power at the intertia switch (fuel cut-off in case of an accident). It is on the driver's side of the trunk behind the liner. Ground a test light and have a assistant cycle the key. It should be powered for about 3-5 seconds initially after the key is cycled to the start position.
I hope this helps.
