2001 Lincoln Town Car - Page 2 Questions & Answers
201 Lincoln 4.6 v8,no oil pressure, was fine when shut off last nite this morning no oil pressure??
Do not run engine further. The indicator light shows oil pressure but not oil level. You could be out of oil.
Check your oil level immediately--with the engine off, open hood, remove dipstick, wipe it clean. Insert it and extract it again. The oil level.should be between the Fill and Add lines. If it is lower than that, add oil, a quart at a time, until it reaches the proper level.
If the oil level is okay, then the engine needs to be repaired. You could have a broken oil pump, clogged intake screen, or some other internal engine failure. Do not drive the car to a shop. Have it towed.
My car is turning over by it's self
WD-40 will remove water and dry out things after sitting for a while I would say over night. In the day distributor caps would have moisture and WD-40 would help get it started. I would just let the car sit a day or 2 to dry out.

How to remove and replace front hub bearings?
The bearing comes installed on a one-piece spindle so they are super easy to take off and replace . . . you barely have to get your hands dirty. Remove the wheel, pry off the dustcap with a screwdriver and pull out the cotter pin. Remove the crown nut and the washer (or 2) and it just pops off and out. The new ones are sealed for life (as yours should have been) and simply slides on reverse the above steps.
Why are you replacing? Noise, vibration or accident?
