What is the fuse # for alternator
It would be helpful to know the mileage...However there are no fuse for the alternator...You really need a voltmeter to check the charging system to be positive..In the past it was always a quick solution for an alternator was start the vehicle (jump it if needed) let it run for a few minutes and disconnect the negative battery cable while it's running...If the engine shuts off it indicates the alternator is faulty...The alternator is where power is stored/created so it should run when it is disconnected..This was a proven method back then...However with today's technology is it computer safe..?...I would definitely try it if I had no choice...I don't think it would damage nothing...I have been a technician for 32 years with certifications and have not heard of any reports of damage under those circumstances..If any other techs know please advise me......But back to your question...I would jump start it and take it to auto-zone or advance and they will test it for free..Just to be safe......Good luck...Brooks...
Outside mirror turn signal on 2001 Lincoln navigator does not work
I have changed many of these...Everytime I inspect one it is always the light that is faulty...and that is all different makes..I have found some have a left and right fuse but it was always the light..The mirror will slightly pivot..carefully pivot mirror slightly inward you will notice it is only held on with plastic clips..Use a good flashlight.....you can actually see behind mirror better at night with a direct beam small led pocket light...use a pocket screwdriver and carefully pry the clips away from mirror while softly pulling on mirror...All you have to do is release the 2 upper and lower outside clips and it will slide out..Then you will see the 2 screws that mount the signal light to the mirror housing..just remove and replace..re-install all the way it was removed...Do it carefully....easy job...

Need a new timming chain
Timing Belts - If you are really good at working on your vehicle then try to do this yourself thru Chilton's Manuals in store or online, YouTube. But I would take your car to a mechanic to make sure it is correct.
Housing oil filter diagram
I would suggest then going to the Chilton's Manual, you can purchase in any automotive repair store or order online. Usually it's the oil filter and it has seals that can crack and go bad. But I would also suggest having the appropriate amount of quarts of oil and drain it, or otherwise it will become a super messy job.
Driver side window stoped and the fuse clics
The clicking would be a Relay or resettable circuit breaker, not a fuse. There is also a Relay in the door for the AUTO one touch window feature.
There is a part called a window regulator which pushes and pulls the window to move in its track. The regulator is probably intact as the window has not fallen inside the door. Sometimes a plastic tooth can break and jam the gears.
You would have to remove the door panel, including hidden fasteners and unplug the motor from the One-touch relay to check for continuity in the window motor.
Because the glass is something which can break and be a bigger problem, you need to keep the glass from falling if you switch motors. A Glass shop would be the repair facility to go to for this problem. Many have waiting rooms and can order the parts in advance.
This in-door service can easily be done within an hour.
Clunk when breaking
Can be several things. Often a sticking brake caliper or worn brake pads can clunk. Sometimes the transmission can clunk when the Torque converter unlocks. A bad U-joint can clunk when the brakes start slowing the rotation of the differential.
Someone needs to check the brakes and driveline.
Wont crank
There is a switch on your brake pedal which is for safety and will lock out the starter if you do not have your foot on the brake pedal when you try to crank the engine.
Your brakelights will not work as well, so you can verify the switch problem by observing the brakes.
The switch could be just knocked out of place or it could be broken. This is a common problem across all brands of Ford, for those years using this system.
