Car hasn't been started for about a week. Went out to start it and it won't turn over and smells like it's flooded.

the heater doesnt work in my 2000 lincoln ls, is it the thermostat? i bough a haynes maual for a 1995-2005 lincoln town car will this work for an ls?
- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.

Where is the coolant temp sensor for a 2001 Lincoln LS located in the engine?
It is on the Driver side of engine in between the COP's (Coil on plugs) simply unplug the wire use a 19 or 3/4 deep well socket and unscrew it and put it new one... The whole process should only take 10-15 minutes.

Where is this done, can't find a dip stick.
Hello okiecouple, my name is JShreader. Thank you for choosing fixya.com
There is no "Dip Stick" on this Transmission. Instead, there is a Drain/Fill/Check Hole on the bottom back side corner of the Transmission. Below is a picture of it...
On these Lincoln Transmissions, for proper test results you need the vehicle sitting perfectly flat (in the shop, we have equipment to ensure the vehicle is perfectly level). I went ahead and made you up the Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure in .pdf format. You can download it by clicking HERE. I hope this helps you. If you have any more questions or need any more diagrams, please don't hesisitate to ask...Thanks again, JShreader.

need to know a location for a coolant temp sensor on a 2000 lincoln ls with a 3.9. alldata wont give me any service and repair or even a location.
HI. Here are a few details about this remarkable sensor and its functions.
This sensor monitors the temperature of the engine and sends that information to the engine control computer to regulate the amount of fuel needed. More fuel is needed if the engine is cold; less if it's hot. If the temperature is extreme, the signal will be sent to the temperature gauge as a visual indicator of overheating and imminent danger. The location of this device(Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor) will be on the passenger side of the cylinder head, under the third intake port from the front in the valley of the engine. White/violet, and brown/white will be the colors of the(2) wires that connect to the sensor.

need a diagram of a fuse box for a lincoln ls
You really have 3 panels with fuses in them so I went on and gave you all 3 of them. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model & year and I will be happy to email you a copy. Don't worry, no cost to you. I hope this helps and good luck.
