IF you have this problem on parking stage is definitely the starter motor. Blown channel. or brasshers .

It is not a bad knock sensor necessarily, no code indicates a part is defective just that a problem exists in that circuit, this is where do it yourselfers get into problems. Have it properly diagnosed by the book on special equipment.

I would go with a sticking release servo

this is correct for this vehicle they are all like it ,they have a rev limiter and when i present vehicles for the anual mechanical inspection and they want to check the noise specs at 4000rpm it causes a problem but as this limit is on the certificate of homoglonation the test centres have to accept the 2800 ,well this is spain home of paperwork and jobs worth

Disconnect cable at gear box end & try to move. If lever moves fault at g.b if still stuck strip lever & check cable etc

Common fault is leaking gasket on intake manifold towards the back, do you have the following symptoms - uneven idle - sudden cut out on idle but starts up again with no problem?If so you will find a leak on the inlet manifold. To change the ac compressor on a V8 S-Type is not very easy. The motor has to be raised and the steering rack has to be unbolted along with the drivers side motor mount.

Go to the glove box and check for a switch that says "vale"t as it may be on.

That would indicate either a faulty oil pressure sensor or that the oil pressure is low. This would be caused by a faulty oil pump, partially blocked oil lines or lack of oil. Check and re-check oil levels whilst the vehicle is on a flat piece of road. Check you have the right oil dipstick for the car (it may have been replaced with a longer oil dipstick which would give you a false reading) or even that the engine may have been changed at some time! make sure you have used oil of the right viscosity (check the owners manual). If that doesn't fix it then give the engine a good flush out with flushing oil to clean out the oil feed system. refill with fresh oil. If that doesn't sort it, change the oil pressure sensor. (on the engine block). Get the engine diagnostics readout done to see if there are any error codes stored. If you still have problems then it may be the oil pump which will cost a lot of money to change!
