2001 jaguar wont start after codes read
sounds like the code reader/dignostic equipment that has been used may have erased some or all of powertrain control module data.this did happen to me when the ids i was using became disconnected before it had finished clearing codes. had to recover the module by reprogramming as a new module only a jag dealer wil be able to do this has the complete car config.file has to reinstalled.
2001 3 litre s type. water pump replaced now coolant leaks from overflow once engine is switched off
By removing the water pump obviously alot of water has drained out therefore you need to prime the air out of the complete water system at the radiator. The coolant leaking out is caused by the hot air rising to escape out the coolant bottle the only exit point. With the engine switched off, alocate a bleed screw on the top or on the side of the radiator and open that screw. Then keep pouring water into the coolant bottle until you see air escaping from the bleed screw.Once the air stops releasing and only water then spurts out, close the bleed screw. The system is now 95% primed. Start the engine and let her idle then open the bleed screw again, if only water spurts out for about 5 seconds then the system is completely primed. If there is still air coming out you can rev the engine a bit to circulate the water faster and then the system will bleed quicker(Not forgetting of course to top up the bottle replacing the lost water from bleeding) as soon as there is only water shooting out the bleeder, close the bleeder and top up the bottle to the maximum mark only. If ever you over top beyond the maximum mark just open the bleed screw to let out some water until it drops to the maximum mark and then close. The system is now fully bled. Problem solved.
2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound
many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

01 jaguar keeps killing my battery
It sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere. This would definatly be a job for a professional shop to locate a bad ground. Otherwise take the car down to advanced auto parts or autozone and ask them to test the starting and charging system to see if their is a problem there. You may just have a bad alternator or starter draining your battery.
Jaguar misfire at 50 mph. diagnostics say cylinders 4and 8 misfire
That's specific enough to be spark plugs and/or wires. Depending on the year (engine placement) it might be easy to check yourself but it'd also be relatively quick for a mechanic to do the same. If it were anything more serious like a crankshaft sensor, or the crankshaft itself, the car wouldn't maintain idle long enough to drive. Best to take care of this ASAP though.
