Why does my jaguar xk8 stiil roll when in park

If you're trying to hold it on the auto transmission alone, then the transmission brake bands need adjusting or even replacing. If it's rolling when the handbrake (parking brake) is applied, then the handbrake needs adjusting or needs new pads.

The car should never be parked and held on the transmission alone; the handbrake should always be the primary means of holding the car from moving.

Both of these jobs are routine maintenance tasks but are not ones for an inexperienced mechanic.

Hi, no it wont make any difference the 5 relates to it working in cold weather but unless you have got freezing temperatures or below freezing then you will be just fine, remember not to mix oils so if it needs topping up you need to top it up with the same oil as mixing can cause it to gel up a bit and can cause problems.

having this oil in your car wont cause any harm at all and you will be just fine.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

I started to go and felt a vibration in the rear?

If this problem raised a trouble code light indicating a fault code in the gear box, it is most likely a defective solenoid in the transmission and will require a service tech to repair and diagnose. This problem is not repairable by most people without the proper tools and diagnostic scan readers.

Replacing the headlight bulbs

For replace the Fog lights you have to remove the headlight and that gives you access to the top of the fog light, the screws will have rusted in or the bolts will turn in there housing so if they wont undo which is likely pull foglight off this might rip the holes in the bumper but its not problem as new foglight will still hold in bumper.

For change the headlights, rRemove outer headlamp ring by lifting tab. Remove the bulbs. Be careful and pull the headlight straight out after removing the bulb. It is attached to four plastic tabs and requires a good tug. Push the new headlight back on. You'll probably have to re-aim the headlight.

Hope helps.

Car idols and is perfectly fine. however when you

Bad thermostat? check to see if your upper radiator hose is getting hot and that coolant is flowing into the radiator.

If you want to see if the stat opens you need to start with a cold engine. You can remove the radiator cap when the engine is cold without risk of getting burned by escaping steam. Then you start the engine and wait for the coolant to start flowing when the stat opens. If the car heats up and the stat doesnt open then you should replace it.

You said the fan comes on...which usually means the radiator is getting hot enough.....perhaps your radiator is getting plugged internally or you have a poorly functioning water pump?

Check these things out and let me know how things are.

Good luck and be careful.
