Clean the injectors and check spark plugs.

and then?

you have fuse boxes in the rear seat kick plate and left hand side in the boot near the battery.

My Mitchell instructions are to
. Remove battery negative terminal. Remove interior door trim. Using a stick carefully ease rear veneer inward to release rear tabs. Slide veneer rearward to release front retainers.

Remove armrest center screw, Carefully release door panel from 8 retainers. Lift rear edge of door panel to release retaining clip. Lift door panel until it clears door lock button

Disconnect wiring harness connectors from door panel. Remove arm rest clip housing and install on door. Remove armrest front screw. Remove screws and switch pack from armrest. Remove screw and switch panel from switch pack.

in what manner do you mean multi plug.if its for the diagnostics it is on the left side just about knee height drivers side foot well. it looks like you plug a scart lead into it. this is in uk modles

Are your battery connections tight and clean? Battery connections are very fussy on clean tight connections.

sounds like your engine is the old v8 with nicosyl coated cylinders they wear badly due to high sulphur content in fuel which eats away at the cylinder walls they lose compression and swithed off or stalled when cold and it wont restart. later engines had cast iron liners check your engine no., to see if thats your problem. have changed up to 4 engines a week a few years ago because of this issue.

if it is a front ring remove front vertical link , you will see a spring locking device remove this a special tool is then needed to unscrew the abs ring if this is not availiable you try heating up the ring and using a drift, or drill down the side of the ring and splitting it with small chisel but you will need the special tool to fit the new one, they are TIGHTas they retain the hub bearing. if it is a rear one remove the rear hub carrier making sure you mark the track adjustment bolt to maintain rear wheel track. you should then be able to carefully remove the abs ring as it only trapped by the drive shaft, renew the hub nut

Take it to the dealer or ask a local old school mechanic to do it ,this is not a home owner type job and anyway it shouldnt need cleaning unless the engine breather pipes are caked up with carbon from not having regular oil changes ,cheapest oil and change often say 6000 miles with oiul filter every third oil change ,its only a car at the end of the day i know because i have one a XJ6 4.00

Have verified the injectors are energized and if the ignition coils are firing the spark plugs. Do your rpm indicator show the engine is turning and sending a signal to the rpm gauge.
