Sun visor on driver's side won't stay up or all the way down. 2006 Sonata
This works on any visor. Obtain a small clamp as used in wiring harnesses. On the shaft end of the visor, 1/2 inch from the end, install the clamp around the visor and the shaft. Drill a hole through the visor for the clamp screw and tighten as needed. I might be a redneck, but it works!!

1999 model, it cuts out once per trip, always at low speed pressing on the accelerator, I hear the electrics go off and oil+battery light on dash just like when starting, it sometimes comes back to life after a second while coasting but if not then it takes a few minutes to restart when stationary.
I've replaced spark plugs but theres no change. There was a transmission fluid leak at the same time this started happening but that was fixed and the cut out problem still happens. TIA
I had the same problem with my 2000 Sonata a couple of years ago. It was the crank sensor and once replaced, it solved the problem.

I had a low speed rear end collision in my sonata and know the car won't. The engine turns over but no start anybody know where the inertia switch is hiding i have looked everywhere i can think of
Inertia switch is located in one of two areas, on the passenger side panels next to the toe kick by the radio. Or up under the dash. It will be a red button that you need to puch in

I can't find the location of the crankshaft postion sensor in my 2000 Hyundai sonata
My online Sonata manual shows these possibilities, but does not identify which applies specifically to 2000 Sonata.
Also, when you talk to the dealership parts counter, you'll need to know whether your 2000 Sonata is (a) 4-cylinder 2.4L MFI DOHC engine, or (b) 6-cylinder 2.5L MFI DOHC engine.
Its easy to tell - just count your spark plug wires.
-- begine excerpt from 2000 Hyundai Sonata Repair guide --
The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel.
The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel/torque converter.
The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the driver-s side of the vehicle, down by the lower radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the crankshaft pulley.
The crankshaft position sensor is located at the front of the engine near the timing belt.

h02s heater control circuit low bank 1 sensor 2 for hyundai sonota 2000
Here is a picture of where they are, do not be alarmed if your car is a four cylinder this picture is generic. Bank one sensor 2 should be after the cat in a 4 cylinder. But use the picture as a reference.

Firing Order for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata
Since the 4 cyl engine uses direct ignition, here is the info for the V6.
Standing in front of the car, the cylinders in front are 2-4-6 and the cylinders next to the firewall are 1-3-5.
The wires on the coil are 1-4-5-2-3-6. The actual firing order is 123456.

My car sounds like it is running harder or at higher rpm than normal just to shift, also have noticed the car misses when the rpm meter is not working. I have replaced all spark plugs and wires I'm at a loss here of what to do, nobody can seem to figure out the problem. I have a hyundai sonata 2000
I used to have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the same symptoms; my mechanic replaced the speed sensor ($65) and the problem went away. Take the car to auto zone and ask them to plug the computer, they normally do it free of charge. If it is the sensor, you may have to buy at the dealer.

The line to the right rear brake is leaking. It is the metal part connected to the hose.
As you can see, the brake lines for this particular product are all together, so removing a specific one is difficult at best. This is not a case for a neophyte, but should be handled by a competent and qualified brake mechanic. Getting a car to go is easy. Getting them to stop is life-threatening. However, if you insist I first have to say if it were me behind the wrench, this is what I would do, but you might not. In other words, if you crash, I am not taking responsibility. Do this project at your own peril and risk.
You are going to have to get to know a person that works in hydraulic lines. You will need a compression fitting, a line bender and crimper and a rubber hose that will go from the piston connection to a female connector. Basically you find where the leak is and remove that portion of the line and with the crimper and other parts, you put the female connector on the line that failed. From there you connect the rubber male end to the repaired line to the piston connection. Keep in mind, this is probably a temporary fix at best. Most of the time, when you replace a part of the line, the best way to do it is to replace the complete line, but since the Hyundai is an all in one welded together, you have a task ahead of you.
Again, since you have to ask, this shows that this entire procedure is levels above your mechanical skills. I am not saying this to be rude but this repair needs to be done by someone that can be held accountable when you go over dead man's curve. I would spend the extra bucks here. Then again, carburetors are magic to me. Thank god for fuel injection.
