truck? GEO? the park lockout is active. (most cars this year have a console bypass) post exact car spec, what car is it ? 95 geo or 96 something else, cant help if car make and type and year, are not clear.

dont drive it. find the cause and fix it now. Hot and cold engine or BOTH>? 1995 Tracker, no tranny , no 4wd , on engine options stated. Exact high RPM in neutral, not stated...... 1500 is normal cold. keeps going in Neutral. (nah , you have 5 ways to stop any car. key, hand brake, foot brake and neutral. and with 4wd, 1 more neutral. keep that in mind driving any car. this car has up to 3 throttle cables that can stick. and more! 1: floor mats hit the pedal>? ala. Toyota style (lawsuits) 2: the three cables are, throttle. , cruise and A/T transmission kick down cable. if car is M/T and no cruise it has 1 cable. so disconnect it, throttle fixed? (disconn,. 1 by 1, bingo? no cure?, then its not the pedal , you meant just high idle. yes, replace the cable or bad parts three. ok say its not the cables.. (tests proved that) the 95 came with 2 engines, 8valves and 16valves, they work differently (8v love so race, 16v loves to stall) 1: ISC Stuck open, common. 2: 8v, any air leaks at all , will cause super high idle speeds. 3: throttle valve in the throttle body is stuckopen (gunk) or the return spring broken (very very rare the latter,in fact never heard of one breaking) 4: IAC (thermal idle control stuck open ,(my 97 was). and lots more. 5: on the 16v it takes 2 failures. to make high idle. gross rich running engine (cold engine its normal) and any air leak once hot the engine can not race unless there is huge overfueling and an air leak. 6: the 8v has this device on the side of the throttle body. called a dash pot. its just a fast idle vacuum servo. if stuck open the engine will scream full time.... 7: ECU stuck in limphome, can cause too high idle speeds. we need to know which engine http://www.fixkick.com/find-parts.html 8v or 16v first. then does the idle race hot or cold or both (engine temperatures) if it races , then how fast?, RPM the dash tachometer tells you that. it can be as simple as a 50cent hose cracked. to a dead ISC. (idle speed control) IAC is thermal idle air controller. the IAC must be closed on a hot engine, if the the engine never gets hot,it will scream full time.

need more input. (8valve or 16valve engine , which option?) black top engine , or silver 16)? does it fail, cold or hot engine or both? does it have full power from engine , at all speeds and loads (hills)? and wide open throttle power.? ever do the 60k tune up, not just a fuel filter? http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/tune-ups.html how old is the fuel? the pump/reg holds 34-43 psi.at all times...running. sputter, from too low RPM ? below 800 or idle fast, but sputters at 800 and more? if the latter, that is called misfire. if the former that is lost of idle controls. need to now which engine. because the are worlds apart. EFI wise ! but here is a page on misfire. ever tuned it up, do the 60K mile service points.??????????can the right foot , action,easily stop the stall.?after saving said stall does the engine produce FULL POWER./?yes, the ISC is stick closed, (very comon on old cars)no? i can but its hard to get RPM? EGR main VALVE IS STUCK WIDE OPEN.STALLS , Those are 2 can name 10 more. but 2 for todayanswer my questions and we can in fact find all issues.

2004. chevy tracker yes, i have the FULL FSM. actuator , you mean the front axle pump? there is non, err, not directly the PCM drives the pump direct, Page 9-a19(FSM) pinsc51-2 pin 15, drives and pin 18 the PCM senses if it did.? the pump is grounded, the PCM drives it on the PCM has many rules for , not activating 4wd. speed, load.,.RPM, etc. and the switch is not on. C51-2,pin 11 is pcm 4wd switch input and goes to 12v, for 4wd demand, then the PCM glow the lamp and maybe turns on the pump. post symptoms for better help.

ok 95 , must be 16v as only that engine has MAF. the sensor is on the air cleaner box, has 2 wires. and the ohms is on the below page. as is the full schematic, and the maf wiring is the cel glowing key on , and off driving 20miles? if not post the flash codes. DTCs. the iat is the least important in fact the 92 its MISSING ! the maf tests are here. too. many tests, suzuki sells a maf for $1000 (dogs) and the china one is junk. so test it carefully or go broke fast. wow, great post, (no location stated sadly,you in Nunavut?)floods, a clear hard piece of evidence. bravo, and helps...fuel soaked spark plugs.if tuned up and , compression is 150,psi not 90 x4.and spark is strong, then and only then is it a fueling problem.ill assume you read the op guide and used the unflood method/stated in glove box manual?no, then use WOT TO START THE ENGINES.wot, wide open throttle, (yes, right foot to floor)this act cuts all fuel injections. and must startif not , no spark.if the egr is leaking , it will be hard to start, do the 50k service on it.if the ISC is stuck closed, it will be hard to start and flood (no air)so use just 10% throttle , acting as sort of a human ISCstart now?that is just the tip of ice berg.here is more flooding.all ways, i think are herehttp://www.fixkick.com/flooding.html

drain the radiator- follow the top hose to the motor-where it connects to the motor should be a hose clamp and the thermostat housing-undo the bolts -clean off the old gasket and take the old thermostat with you to the auto parts store to match it up -be sure to pick up 2 gallons of antifreeze and a gasket with the new thremostat -don't reuse your antifreeze -it becomes corrosive when it gets old- bolt in new thermostat-be sure it goes in the way the old one came out- fill up the antifreeze and you'll be golden -cheers Denny
