if you have not had problems with your car the most probable thing is you need to replace your maf sensor you can also jut remove it and cleane it with alcohol then reset your cars computer by removing the positive cable from your car for about 2 minutes and placing it back it will clear the engine code
High-low beams not working
Check for headlight relay and fuse. Some cars have separate circuits for head light flasher and normal high/low beam. From your description, I would suspect a bad connection to/from relay or relay itself.
2006 hyundai sonata stopped fans
dear friend-i think you must first check the fans manually to see if they work,if they do then when you you reach working tempreture, feel the top and bottom radiator hoses they should be the same temp,if not the thermostat is at fault,if yes then ckeck the thermo-switch,
I have knocking under my vavle cover what could be
If it is a heavy knock it sounds mechanical and I'd have it checked before something bad goes. If it is that of a clicking sound I expect it is a sticking, failed or failing valve lifter. Given the year of your car this may be under warranty in your power train warranty,
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
My 2003 Duango has a bad blower motor resistor, I
likely two different issues ... the clutch that allows the compresser to operate is controled by several things
1. if refrigerant (r134a) is low then the clutch will cycle or not come on at all as the pressure in the system drops below a critical value .. in general if this is the case it may work better (for longer) if it is really hot out .. and maybe not at all when its cool
2. the system detects the fact that the front blower is turned on before it will allow the compressor to operate .. could you have damaged the fan speed switch assembly or wire connectors while kicking or changing the resistor ???
3. the switch that detects low refrigerant pressure could be bad and that switch sometimes operates a relay that has a high failure rate in some car makes ..that would be called the compressor clutch relay, AC relay or some such ...the nature of this relay problem is that the clutch turns on and off randomly then eventually doesnt come on at all ..
if there is no damage to the blower switch or wiring then i would check the refrigerant pressure .. in r134 systems slow leaks are often seen that cause the pressure to drop to the point where the system cant make up its mind about running. typically the compressor will run for a few seconds at a time .. a steady but fast cycling (not random) you can get a r134 pressure gage at any auto parts shop but you should know how to use it or find someone that does ..
A/C blows hot air
Hi, the first check you will want to do is on the a/c clutch. you want to make sure of its operational value. Turn the engine on and raise the hood. make sure the a/c button and controls are on as if you wanted the air to blow cool. while the a/c is in the on position, inspect the clutch action under the hood. the clutch should click in a cycle. this engages the compressor device. it should cycle on and off in a 3 minute interval. if this compressor clutch is not working and it is not clicking, this will be the main issue. a/c clutch failure.
Now, if the clutch is working and, it is cycling on and off in a quick motion, this Will confirm a low charge state and, you will need to recharge the system with a recharge kit or you can take to the local dealership or mechanic.
Ok, if the system has a good charge and the clutch and compressor are ok, this will confirm compressor failure. if the compressor cant do its job by compressing the refrigerant in a proper manner, it will not cool properly. it will spin but, it will not cool.
You will find the problem in one or all of the areas above. i recommend checking the clutch action first then, go from there. make sure the a/c in-dash switch is working as well. this is a problem spot.
Please rate and have a great ady:)

The brakes can need replacing in 18,000 miles, if you do a lot of city driving (frequent stops, using the brakes). The rotors if they cannot be re-surfaced (machined) to acceptable tolerances must be replaced. It is not normal for a alternator cable to fail that quickly, but it is possible
