Need computer location in 2005 lincoln towncar

The code is on a paper label attached to a large plastic box containing several wiring harnesses behind the driver side door panel. Posts about it being on the trunk hinge arms, behind trunk panels, on computer module, behind the fuse box, and 'you have to go to the dealer' are incorrect for this series of Town Cars. After you remove the panel (you do not need to disconnect any wires), you will see the box up near the rear view mirror. An example code (3/4) (1/2) (5/6) (9/0) (1/2). If you press the keypad buttons in this order, left to right, the door locks will operate in the manner described in your opwner's manual.

Do a search on door panel removal to learn how to remove the panel. There are some good posts on this topic - some even have pictures.

How to remove driver side power window switches in

To remove the window switch console from the drivers side door, gently pry up the console, start at the front of the panel, because this is where the friction fastener is. After this is pryed up, slide the unit forward and remove. Then you can remove the switch package. This package can be disassembled and you can clean the contacts to restore the switch back to operation,.

The driver side power seat is not working in my

might be as simple as replacing the fuse #601 in the BJB (battery junction box) under the hood

this single fuse controls power to ALL the functions of the seat, up/down, forward/aft, tilt and back rest

additionally, there is only one ground!

if ANY of these work then the fuse and/or ground is not the concern

furthermore, since the seat actually contains 4 separate motors it is quite unlikely all 4 failed

so if the seat will not function in any/all positions then you are most likely dealing with a switch problem!

replace the switch and let me know your results

In my 2005 Lincoln Town car, when driving in wet

The Enhanced Traction System (ETS) is designed to limit wheel slip during acceleration. This objective is accomplished by cutting fuel to selected cylinders, retarding spark and upshifting the transmission. The EBCM monitors wheel speed slip through the ABS wheel speed sensors and determines the desired torque reduction needed to minimize wheel spin.
the wheel speed sensor may be bad

How do you remove the door panel on drivers door?

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

My 2005 Lincoln Town car

The vehicle speed sensor or VSS or the speedometer itself is the problem. The cruise control won't work without a working speedometer and the speedometer won't work without a good VSS so either the VSS or the speedometer need to be replaced since neither is working. If you take it to AutoZone, they will get the trouble codes read for free which may help determine exactly which part is not working. Let me know how this turns out.

I haven't gotten an answer to my question yet. s

1. Check fuses
2 check fusable link

The cause should just be a fuse if not it could be the lin to the fuse if more then one system gave out then its got to be a fuse or link. I would suggest if you do not know how to check for these is to visit a eletrician in your area.

I hope this does help and I am sorry you did not get a reply in a timely manner!

Thanks
