2005 Hyundai Elantra - Page 7 Questions & Answers
My 2005 Hyundai Elantra is going through headlights like there's no tomorrow!
I have found this many times wit some aftermarket bulbs, but the most common problem is that because the wire clip that holds the bulb is so hard to get to (unless you do it every day) it may get bent while trying to remove it. When this happens the bulb vibrates and will blow just from the vibration. Wiggle the bulb to see if it feels loose, if so go to the dealer and buy a new clip. you will need to remove the headlamp to replace it. It's probably not your alternator. The airbag light would be on for an overvoltage condition.
My ac is only cold when I am driving, my heat is only hot when I am driving, not getting cold air or hot air in idle position?
So many mechanics, so little consensus. Sounds pretty common.I can't say as to why hot and cold only when moving, but it sounds like a weak performing system. As for the squealing, I would suggest removing one belt at a time, and see if one eliminates the squeal. That would be the problem belt or pulley or component. Also, if you have any idler pulleys (a stand-alone pulley) on the belt system, be sure and check them as well. Spin them without the belt on, and see if they make any noise. It would seem you need a mechanic who is willing to spend some time with you on this to find the problem. When you find a good one, you will know it by his output, and make yourself a regular customer. Good luck.
My friend pulled a fuse...
Check inside your owner manule it needs factory code putt back into it,Its a security code usually inside the manule. if not you will have to go to dealer to get the code.
All right side rear lights do not work
definately sounds like a relay, i would check the fuse box see if you have a blown fuse or jacked relay... for the whole side to be out it definately sounds like something in there is blown
Parking brake 2005 elantra does not work
Hi Richard, I think you may find that the park brake works on a separate system with a set of small brake liners inside a drum on the rear wheels. If I'm wrong and it uses the disc pads, try replacing the pads and adjusting the travel, that should sort out the problem. Regards John
