Hi

Can you hear the motor working inside the tailgate for the central locking when you press the eky fob lock / unlock button? if you can then the motor is fine and most likely the mechanism is jammed up. try pushing the tailgate inwaqrds while using the keyfob, this can often take the pressure off the mechanism. if you cannot hear the electric motor in the hatch then it has most likely failed,you should be able to get into the back and remove the trim to get the hatch open.

Get back to me once you have tested for the motor noise and I will send more info

Is the check engine light on? This transmission is controlled by the computer. If there are any internal electronic problems, the computer should store a code to lead you in the right direction to fixing this issue. Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission?

check the current coils, fuel pump.

Hi Kathy,here's a link to where your blower motor is,in the pic,the dark part is your blower motor resistor,just remove electrical connector and 2 screws holding it on,very easy. It is a symptom of car going into limp mode.this is usually something simple such as low oil high temp or electronic fuel delivery.the only way you will get to the bottom of this without further expense is to take it to a garage an ask for an OBD check.the garage should have onboard diagnosis equipment and be able to read the error codes that get recorded in events like this to the cars ecu.

Could be your blower motor resistor,it's mounted next to the blower motor,Autozone will take part back for refund if it don't fix problem.Here's what it looks like,Here's where the blower motor is.Easy to remove,disconnect electrical connector,remove 2 screws,can't look at it to tell if bad.Here's the relay.

I've never worked on a Kia Diesel, but the pump is either on the frame rail or they stuck it in the fuel tank just like on a car.

Yes, there will be a fuse for the washer circuit. However, it is not separated in the list, so you will have to check each fuse. it will likely be on the same circuit as the wipers. If they all look good, you need to see if the pump is bad. First, with the car not running and the hood up, listen if there is any sound from the pump when you activate it.

There was a safety recall on the seatbelts of Kia Sportage. Not positive on the years. Mine is a 1999 and the dealership fixed it for free.
