How do i get to the blend door on 2005 kia amanti

Here's some info: `Driver's side of the heater will not heat. The temperature mixture door is not opening because the linkage has fallen out of the retainer clip. The clip is brittle and has cracked. You can replace this clip. Spend $5 on some new rod clips for your temperature actuator motor. The part number is 9721438000 (Holder-Linkage rod) about $2.25 each. It is part number 17 on the image attached. Disconnect the battery negative terminal with a 10mm wrench. DO NOT remove the radio and console. It is a total waste of effort on early Amantis. It could cause an error in your radio, already a weak link in an Amanti. Remove the lower panel under the steering wheel. The screws are in the left side access panel. Use a small flat bar to remove the press plugs from the left console side panel. Pop off the left console side panel, then slide it back and remove it from the cab, store all removed parts in the trunk, safe from harm. Use a ten millimeter socket to remove both upper and lower cross bars under the instrument panel. The lower one fastens with two nuts, the upper one four bolts. Remove the bolt from the console frame member and pry the plastic plate from the metal frame. Once the plastic is no longer reinforcing the console frame arm, bend the metal arm towards the steering wheel enough to get the magnetic Philips screwdriver shank straight into the actuator motor bracket screw. Use a 6" shank magnetized Philips driver to remove the three screws that secure the actuator motor bracket and the axle shaft from the cam. Then remove the axis screw from white nylon plastic cam. One of the metal arms will be loose, because the clip has aged and cracked. Carefully unclip the other control rod and remove the cam. The new clips unfortunately may also crack, so you may want to order an extra one. The white plastic motion converter cam has a clip at both ends. Use a small needle nose pliers to remove them both, then install the two new clips exactly in the position the old one came out. Replacing one is folly; replace both. All of these plastic clips are ten years old, so they may all be at the end of their useful life. Before you put the support and panels back on, observe that the heater door actuator functions properly when you change drivers temperature on heater control panel. Reassemble in reverse order of disassemble. Wipe down all surfaces with mild detergent on a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and dislodged dust. This process may also reveal an opportunity to clean the drivers side carpet. Got this off a Kia Amanti forum. don-ohio (:^)

2005 Kia Amanti; heater on driver side blowing cold

For those of you who may google this link and are looking for an solution, my local repair shop isolated my 2005 Amanti problem to a $2.78 plastic clip on the temperature blend door actuator rod linkage. It simply fatigued and eventually broke resulting in the actuator rod falling off the actuator door lever. The labor to isolate the problem and to replace the clip did amount to almost $170. Hope this helps those of you in the future.

How do i connect the radiator hoses on a 2005 kia amanti

There should only be four hoses/pipes connected to the radiator - two large rubber hoses to the radiator inlet and outlet, and two smaller rubber (or possibly metal) pipes coming from the automatic transmission. On most vehicles, the hoses will only reach their proper connections on the radiator. It would be very hard to connect them incorrectly. Next time, take a picture of all hoses and other connections before you disassemble them. It will save a lot of time, confusion and uncertainty when putting it back together (I speak from experience).

Car over heated and leaked out all the engine oil

car overheated probably because of lack of oil, your lucky the engine has not seized due to lack of oil. has the oil filter ruptured? Perhaps the sump plug has been loose and fallen out or the seal on the sump is corroded and allowing oil to escape?
