I HAVE AN X TYPE 2005 JAGUAR AND THERE IS WATER

Most reputable companies will give you a 12 month warranty on their work. But i would call the installer and ask about warranty info and tell them you have a leak without mentioning the electrical issues. Once they commit to warranty and get your Jaguar back in, then make the complaint about the damage. Stand firm.

I bought a jaguar X type in July 2007. I had it

i loved the x jaguars ... it sounds like your serpentine belt broke or more likely the engine locked up .. in either case you would have lost power steering .. you can still steer but it takes a great deal of force and may even give you the impression the steering is locked up .. it takes a very strong person to control a car that has just lost power steering and of course you have to know in advance that you can even do that .. also when the engine locks up you will soon lose vacuum assisted brakes .. again you can still use the brakes but it takes a lot of extra force and becomes difficult to control how much force to use in an emergency situation .. since the brakes now respond very slowly, its easy to lock them up .. a professional driver might have been able to control your car but i feel most people would be in the same fix you found yourself unless they had special training (and that might not be a bad idea for everyone) ... some engines lock up when their timing belt breaks (called an interfereance engine) .. thats a very dangerous situation, so the belts should be changed before they degrade to the point a failure is likely .. if you lost power assisted brakes then you would get a feeling that the car was actually accelerating because you are expecting it to slow down and it doesnt ... the locked engine could have also locked the drive wheels and that could explain your skid and spin out .. its a shame to lose such a fine machine but its far more important that we didnt lose vivien

2005 jaguar xtype how do i adjust headlights

If I am understanding your post, I believe you do have a levelling
system and it should be near your light switch on the dash. It is
the type of switch that you depress first, it then springs out and
you turn the small knob (just like your instrument panel lights
adjuster next to it.) What you do not have perhaps, if your car is
not fitted with HIDs (high intensity headlamps), is the automatic
levelling system which is a legal requirement when HIDs are fitted
due to the high power of the lights....

if you don't have a self-levelling system then you'll have a manual
system, operated by a knob under the light switch so that you can
adjust to compensate for a heavy load in the rear of the car.

Jaguar x type diesel loss of power, what can cause

A clogged EGR valve can cause loss of power on the x-type diesel. The best thing to do is to remove the valve and clean out all the carbon that will have built up inside the valve and re-fit. Also check your air filter

I have a 2004 x type jaguar and would like to know

Please see http://www.bluejag.co.uk for more info.
Many earlier cars will have the pre-wiring installed but not the phone option. The easiest way to check is to contact the dealership give them your VIN number and they will tell you. If you have Bluetooth installed. Hold the radio button marked with a phone phone.gif for about a second, the display will change to indicate xxxxx or 'No Phone'. If the latter is the case then it is most likely that you do not have the option installed
