IGNITION KNOCK (DETONATION) SENSOR the knock sensor Is on the back of engine (driver side on LHD vehicles) under the cam position sensor. it is a giant PITA to change. i had to cut a wrench in half (7/8 i think??) and use a pry bar to break loose the sensor.. I would suggest a compression test as an engine with those miles on it will be close to being badly worn If thee is a chain problem it will not be running

yes, the J20 engine, or H25 H27? each has different tension-er methods. the car is metric, there are no SAE parts on car. (no 1/2" parts) why post engine questions, with out stating the engine.?? so ill guess J20? how to adjust part 10? The USA car can be Vitara or Grand Vitara. and cut in dates vary for that too. the 2002 has no end locking hubs. so you must mean front wheel bearing hubs. ok its easy with tools. (bearings can not be removed) you unbolt it. you put the new hub on you torque it to 123-180 Ft/lbs, this is the running torque not a preload) if not, it will fail fast. that page even has the FSM chapter page there. to see. from a real Suzuki, 2004. can be seen tool, at alldata.com or at suzuki pit stop , dot com (google it) its there.

Not really possible. True vapor lock only happens on vehicles with carburetors. The gasoline would vaporize from excessive heat before reaching the carb. What are your symptoms ?

no engine, stated. no joy. sorry. some have 3 engines that year. the 2.0 and 2.5L are all HLAs and there is no lash but you said, valves, adjust what> do say what. time the cam.? we cant guess what you are doing why not just flat say so.???? eg.my valve covers are ticking ? or the cam cover, or what. use a $5 stethoscope and listen and no more guessing where.

(pulled) down load the lost manual and keep it on a memory stick ive posted this 2 times here.

First position the alternator up with the mounting brackets on the engine, install the lower and upper mountain bolt from the old alternator to the respective lower and upper bracket in new alternator, then install the single cable with the ring connector to the rear of the alternator and plug in the wiring harness connector to the back of the alternator and release the tension on the belt tensioner after that install the evaporative emissions canister into the bracket just above the alternator, then place the air cleaner intake hose on the throttle body and air box. Finally Connect the negative battery cable to the battery terminal.

my heart goes out to anyone that buys a French car.what a bad deal that is....first off never drive a car with bad sounds, like that.it can cascade or even cause and accident.and point 2,ever ask a web bunny to help fix a engine.i cant see it, touch it ,hear it or drive it nor do the tests.finding noise is a human hands on deal. find a mechanic. here in USA we use ASE certified mechs,find a mech and just ask him/her to listen. or fail big time.
