Distributor firing order

never power pressure wash it, or get water where its very hard to get out. (sealed bearing in alt, P/S/ and A/C are some) dry out the ignition parts. this is called Misfire. but once running right, drive far to get all parts fully hot. so its fully dry next time do this in summer so it dries, faster and more complete. you pulled the spark plugs all at once? oops, that be bad, as most dizzy can be timed 4 ways. and now you lost that secret find true TDC firing, #1, zero degrees then lay down the wires. the V6 the most front cylinder is #1 (they are staggered) V6 what displacement. ??? i think they are same. but./... my 2.5L has COPS, but yours a dizzy 1-6-5-4-3-2 F= front or water pump end, cam cog side. F246 )bank 2 F135 (aka; bank 1) none of this is usefull until TDC #1 firing is found. the easy way is a compressioin guage to #1, max is fire. turn engine by hand until this happens and the crank pulley lands on TDC mark. , pull of Dizzy cap, see rotor. that true #1 spark wire. next time pull them 1 by one, or at least mark the #1 wire. if you had nice NGK wire sets, mag wire, they are pre-marked.

1985? Samurai? (no vitara) NO YEAR makes the real hard.! the dash guage is but a toy and not and instrument. if fact it has no numbers on it, no 180F. markes there....so.... the gauge is reading hot because the 1 pin 1 wire, sender wire for the gauge is grounded out, remove this wire from sender and the guage, must go to low. btw here is the G16 being gauged, FULL HOT. the gauge and sender tests are in the FSM. read that. http://www.fixkick.com/sammi-stuff/index.html here is the G16 the no num gauge. http://www.fixkick.com/Cooling-engine/new195F-reading.jpg here is the best way to measure engine heat. http://www.fixkick.com/Cooling-engine/rad-top.jpg see how well the RAD works, see this. big drop ! http://www.fixkick.com/Cooling-engine/rad-bottom-left.jpg on the G16, we test the guage like his. yours is near identical. http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/tests/Guage-coolant-test.html on you car pull the sender lug. stuck H. guage drop. to L, sender bad. or WRONG sender (common) guage at H, then follow wire, from it to harness, ahhh, all cut up and bare and hitting ground, bingo.

Heater works only when accelerating

weak engine, heat, engine coolant must be 180F or more at all times hot. if not the heater will be weak. unless you failed to notice the heater fan speeding up. that would be gross 12 DC power issues, dead battery or, bad charge system.

2000 Grand Vitara breaksdown, backfires and dies while driving after about 30 minutes. Starts again in about an hour. Changed fuel pressure regulator. Made no difference.

The check engine will be on if the key is on but engine not running . This is normal. If the check engine goes out when the engine starts there are no codes present . Did you check the fuel filter . Sometimes when a filter is dirty there is sedement laying in the filter canister . When the pump starts working the flow picks up the sedement and plugs any remaining open screen and stops the fuel completely . The engine stops . When the flow stops the sedement falls back allowing flow again. and the engine will run for another while . If the filter is old it should be changed anyway . Also when the engine stops check to see if there is spark at the spark plugs while cranking the engine .

It seems the sensor/switch on top of my 98 Turbo Diesel Vitara is playing up and cant find one any where to replace it. Can any one help ?

No displacement stated on the engine, wow, you make this hard.or a challenge? like a rubicks cube with colors missing>?JTD Marurit ( in 6 displacements)? are used all over.? seems not.some Peugeot are rebadged JTD ! Look more careful at engine.i googled the www, and can only find this message."In 1998, there became available models featuring 1.9-litre turbodiesel engines from PSA, built in Spain by Santana Motors, all of them were 4WD vehicles equipped with manual transmissions."is your's a PSA engine? as you can see, finding out whatsuzuki put in your engine bay, is not an easy task.we are blind, only you can discover that, and keep records.my wild guess, is 1.9 TD or 2.0 TD PSA..we dont have diesels here stateside, 1998 to 2012 online parts shows none. (or is the zero support>? not sure ,nor care)why not state what country you are in.? 56 engines world wide. (about 12 are diesels)and why not ask SUZUKI for the part, they sell it? why not buy the factory FSM ? with diesel supplement? book?Suzuki uses non suzuki made diesels in many countries.discover what engine it is, for sure, and actually.and what injection system is used, names ,etc.

No spark from ignition coil to start the engine of suzuki vitara16v EFI engine. what is the cause of it

what year? what country? sounds like suzuki G16b engine. is it? or 2.0L? The reasons are the same basically for G16 or the 2.0LBoth engines have ECU. Both need good fuses to power ECU and coils. Both engines need working CMP.my guess is this is a distributor engien G16b (YOU SAND COIL NOT COILS.)1: fuses, test the fuses relate to ECM/PCM (3 fuses)CEL LAMP MUST BE ON KEY ON OR ECU HAS NO POWER.2: g16B( CRANK FOR 5 seconds), with scan tool connected.A $50 tool that is indispensable. P0355 or P340 DTC , bingo, no spark.or while cranking RPM is dead at 0 RPM.if all that passes, then check the coil signals. (@ minus term)The coil has an ignitor in the dizzy and both can go bad.recap.power 12v to ECUCMP workingECu sees CMP and sends spark to dizzy ignitor.Ignitor , drives coil, coil makes spark ,engine runs.nut shell

While driving correctly the engine has no problem

there are vast numbers of years for Vitara;swhat year, what country, all are DIFFERENT.EPS. electronic power steering> really?orESP electronic stability program, did you RTM?did you read the glove box, operators guide on that?if not why not do that? RTM read the manual.oops, it says take it to Suz dealer, oops no more dealers.so take it to any ASE rated shop, they know !DIY?if you did that , and its not clear, you can then read thefull monty on that in the FSM. the factory service manual.and is also here and at mitchels. (im a mitchels user)http://www.ondemand5.com/but this is a good deal.http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.htmlif ESP, ESP is complex, i'd say the most complex of all. Wiki that....i also think it needs a special scan tool but the manual above covers all that, in fact covers, everything... for $15 bucks.finding and ABS/ESP scan tool , cheap, I dont think so...i'm not selling anything, i'm only pointing to the best of the best.i think too, they have 2 colors of ESP lamps.yellow is warning.red is panic. Ill let you read up on that.ESP is part of ABS. (ESP watches 4 wheel RPM)
