probable that is the cause
there should be no play in a wheel bearing ans if it has then the brake application will make the rotor react all over the place
while the bearings are being replaced , have the rotor checked in a brake shop for warp

the same answer for gas engines.
there 3 causes in physics, called basics in SCHOOL.
1 to 10 tests using physics evidence
or 50+ causes,,,,,
and last statistics (engines do what the want, not by me)
guess: top reasons
1:never had tuneup full this decade. wins top honors...
2: EGR stuck open.
and 48 more. wana guess or test.
got tools>/?
ever heard of the 60k miles tuneup,? see all this things there.
in the operators guide?
Your problem may be as simple as a bad ball joint, CV joint, tie rod end, hub assembly or other front end part. Something is not tight anymore. Have the front end checked and go from there. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
disconnect the battery and hop below the vehicle you will be able to see it bolted on to the bell housing. remove the main power wire then the other smaller wire to the solenoid . then remove and replace the starter in the reverse process all should be good
Depending on the model, you may have a GM style connector mounted on the bottom of the dash near the steering column, or you may have a 3 wire pigtail hanging near the parking brake pedal.
1996 and newer models use the OBDII style connector.
first ever post, with displacement . 93 Rodeo,
so can be looked up .
the belt (gates) comes with instructions, did you buy a cheap
china belt off fleabay? with none?
alldata.com shows
its a DOHC engine.
28 steps
first the warning. at step 13
Set the timing sprockets so that the crankshaft and camshaft sprocket timing marks align with the timing marks on the oil pump and front plate. When the timing marks are align, no pistons are at TDC for the compression stroke. Valve damage may result if the sprockets and belt are out of alignment.
there is a tensioner that as a locking pin,.do you know how to do that?
ill not answer how do it all, only the timing question.
here is the answer.
Ill answer not for removal but install.
install : step 1 and 2
Align the groove on the crankshaft timing pulley with mark on the oil pump.
Align the marks on the camshaft timing pulleys with the dots on the front plate.
photo 1 shows crank marked at 3pm cog wheel. and pump base.
photo 2 shows.
there is more , but do log in at alldata.com and read all steps.
and win.
Wrong Head Gasket or installed wrong
Other possible problems
Given it is over 20 years old, do you really
want to invest even the time into working on it?
Who did the engine repairs, couldn't be a repair shop
or it would have acted up before you got it back!
