2006 Honda Accord - Page 5 Questions & Answers
A clunk noise is coming from the back of my 2006 accord. Could this be the sway bar?
Please describe in what driving situations the noise is produced.
A rattling noise lead me to think a broken exhaust tie-down is the problem, Inspect when car is cold and shake exhaust pipes, muffler and cat converter.
It may sound stupid but have you check the trunk for maybe the jack being loose.
Next, while car is stopped, bounce up and down with your full body weight on each corner of vehicle and see if sound is produced. May indicate broken or weak shock.
There might be other suspension problem that could cause noise, but the above are the most likely.
Post back with more info on exactly when noise occurs it above does not remedy.

Why is my radio is giving me a mechanical error code
Has your battery been changed, or have you had a dead battery? If so it will requir you to program into the radio a code that will unlock the radio. It is generally found on a sticker inside the glove box or on a card that may be with the owner's manual. It is a numeric code of 4 or 5 numbers. Punch them in via the preset buttons
Honda code CRBC 1225
If the engine will spin over but not start more than likely the timing belt has broken or stripped. That would be why they told you that the engine was shot. Those are interference engines, meaning when they get out of valve timing, like a broken timing belt, the valves will hit the pistons and damage the engine.
So first thing I would advise is to determine if there is a problem with the timing belt. If so more than likley the motor is damaged.
Hissing noise from ac when compresor cycles on
You can try and lessen the sound by replacing the expansion valve. This is located where the pipes meet the fire wall of the engine bay.
I must be honest, most of the newer cars do have this noise and it is apparently due to higher pressures in smaller systems to try and get the same cooling quality with less engine power draw. May be advisable to do a comparative test on another vehicle the same as yours to ensure you're not trying to redesign the wheel! No use spending money on something that is a characteristic of the vehicle.
Reset immobilizer theft-system
I'm not sure if this will work, but you can try it; disconnect the negative cable from the battery. wait a few minutes. Place the ignition key in ON position. Re-connect the negative cable....That may reset the system.
Dashboard warning lights
open glove box, take out operators guide.
read the service page, its there.
if the manual is missing, then get one .

Can I stop my horn from sounding when I lock my 2009 Accord
You might can have the dealer program it not to honk, but its just the way the keyless entry works. I've owned 2 accords--an 06 and 08--and both of them honk the horn when the lock button is pressed twice. Pressing the button once will secure the car and arm the alarm. So once click is all you really need. And no your alarm is not malfunctioning.
