Did you check power an grounds using voltage drop testing , did you check battery voltage an computer control at the starter motor relay in the under hood fuse / relay box ? Instead of guessing you need to learn how to use a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an test ! The powertrain control module controls the starter motor operation ! Starter Voltage Drop VEHICLE RELAYS Operation Diagnosis ,If you pull the relay an jump pin's 30 & 87 the starter should crank ,test the circuit starter motor side ! Pins 85 & 86 are the control side ., Pin 85 or 86 forget which one has battery voltage with the key on . The one with out voltage is control from the engine computer ! Also if the anti theft system is active it wont start !
If you are paying someone to do the work. It is cheaper most times to replace the engine. If it were mine I do the work and would fix the engine. Depends on the damage also. You wont know until you get it apart. It can scar up the piston top and be ok. If it scars up the valve seat in the head, the head is trashed. If something broke and scars up the cylinder walls to badly it is trashed
perform a wheel sensor test at the wheels with an a/c meter. it should fluctuate from 0 to 5 volts A/C voltage. the one that is out of range is the bad one. also check the plug connectors for corrosion or damage.
If car does not stay runnin or stalls wen slowin down is egr effects. It may be the gasket wher it connects to engine. Sonetimes u can blow out carbon in the valve itself. Seek a shopmanual at local library
On my 2004 Chrysler Pacifica I noticed a gas smell inside the cabin. I could also smell the gas very strong inside the engine bay when the car was running. It turned out to be a plastic line that connects between the fuel line from the tank, and the fuel rail which was leaking fuel. This line was located on the right side of the engine bay under the air cleaner. This was right next to the HVAC system, which was why I was smelling it in the cab of the car so much.
Hi Margaret, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair
I've worked for Chrysler for over 40 years and I've found several reasons the radio has a low signal. (1) The radio itself could have a short inside. (2) The antenna or wiring could be shorted or frayed. (3) The antenna itself could be bad. Unfortunately, without running a test procedure you don't know which one is causing the problem. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair website and check out the testimonials of my satisfied customers. http://www.bigasautorepair.com/
This is just a guess with limited information. If you didn't change the timing belt at 100,000 miles it could have been the sound of the pistons hitting the valves. When they hit each other they might have bent or broke then the engine would still crank but not start
It is always best to comment on your first question so as the person that answered you receives a notification, but you got lucky. There will be a schrader valve on the fuel rail that you can attach a fuel pressure gauge and see what kind of pressure you have. It should be over 43lbs at the rail.
Inside of the fuel tank. Chrysler, in their infinite wisdom, decided to place the fuel pressure regulator, the fuel pump, and the fuel filter inside of the tank in one unit.
