the battery is located in the trunk underneath the floor. there should be a handle on the floor and you lift it up to get to the battery. there is a positive battery cable post under the hood near the driver side strut mount, next to the fuse box.

check your fuse box it sounds like a blown fuse.

Check wiring from the pump / float to the gauge cluster. It's either the sending unit or the REM / rear electronic module. I would imagine that with a meter ohming out the sensor after the gauge drops will show extremely low resistance/a short

There was a software update for this car, #30646691 to solve certain transmission issues. Not sure if that's the upgrade you were referring to. Also, the have been several cases of a dirty or partially plugged valve body in the transmission causing similar issues. Hope this helps.

I doubt that it's a sensor problem. The fact that the radiator hose came off is an indication of a more serious problem like a head gasket leak.

It will not work. The speedometer cluster would have to have the software downloaded to it be a dealer.

I would replace the radiator. The radiator has plastic end caps and and they will leak sometimes where they seal with the metal core of the radiator.

The throttle body is underneath the manifold. It takes about 1-2 hours to remove it from the car depending on your expertise. I had the same issue and I would just replace it since you are going to have to remove it anyway.

the symtoms you describe sounds like a battery fault. but if you have had the battery properley tested and is good then you either have something discharging the battery intermittantly ie. trunk light staying on or a high resistance in the main battery leads or earth connections

Look at the automatic idle control module and the idle control valve on the engine. The valve can be cleaned. Use a code reader to verify if any electronic problems exist.
