There are DOWLS on the Front of the Camshaft. You have to have them LOCKED in the REAR before you put the belt back on or you will never get it right., These have a Variable Valve adjustment (and they cause issues. Additionally, the REAR Camshaft SEAL goes bad on this vehicle

If diesel, it could be dodgy glow plug(s). Had a similar problem with my s40 and new glow plugs solved it!

hi, this is not hard. the valve run into the valve cover and the price for a pro to fit should be around 50 dollars tops. i would do it for 30.

Sounds like a wire to me. It's definitely not fuses (unless the fuses have been split for left and right hand side which I have never come across, but we are talking about volvo lol) so I'd say most likely there'd be a break somewhere in the harness. The driver's side probably blew as all the power gets sent to one side when one bulb isn't working - so it's working twice as hard usually - making it more susceptable to blowing.

Most Auto Zone stores will hook up a code reader for free and tell you what the problem is.
