Where is the cabin filter located?
The Cabin filter for your vehicle is basically an easy one to get to compared to some vehicles. It is located behind the glove box. In the first picture below where I put a red arrow are these little "stoppers". If you simply push the side of the glove box on both sides where those "stoppers are, the glove box will open all the way and you will be able to get at it pretty easy as you can see in the picture where you pull it out. The second picture shows you how it comes out of the housing. Now if your maintenance minder light is on I am not completely sure becuse I use a computer you plug into the vehicle to reset but I think (don't quote me on this) that if you hit the SEL/RESET button or knob depending on how your vehicle is equipted just continue you hit that knob or button until you get to that section and then just hold it down for about 10 seconds and it should reset itself to 100 percent. I know you can do the oil change life that way but not sure about the cabin air filter. Well I hope this helps you......

My 2006 Honda civic has a underhood fuse box
The mechanic is right. The relay is needed to prevent voltage problems, but remind him that you want a fuse inline since one way or another, the original was fused.
Also ask him about what happens with the antitheft alarm. It is suppose to blow the horn with lights flashing. You probably will lose the horn for that task.
Since this is a Hybrid, it will be very difficult to obtain a used or Salvaged fusebox for your car from a Salvage yard. Otherwise using a used part would save you alot if you want the fusebox replaced.
Dashboard shows "DRL"
this indicates the "Driving Lights" are defective. Check your sidelights to see if they are actually on when you want them on. Check the connections for corrosion - especially the earthpoints, as sometimes they corrode underneath which is difficult to spot.
Another area to check is the stalk, and obviously the fuses and bulbs themselves.
This should rectify the problem for you.
