White smoke from under the hood

I would almost think that it's steam.
You might have a pinhole in a rad or heater hose.
It could also be a head gasket, or intake manifold gasket.

Jumping or jerking when i accelerate

I had a turbo renault , I cranked the wastegate down to increase boost and had same problem.
There was a sensor that cut the ignition if the turbo was over pressuring. Was a pretty violent jerking, felt like it was tearing the engine mounts out.

I have a 96 wrx impreza thats started loosing power while driving

Hello

The Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

Help removing interior door panel/ 1996 Subaru Impreza Coupe

First you remove the small triangular shaped plastic piece that is on top of the door panel by the front of the door by the mirror by simply prying it of. Next behind the door open lever if there is a small plastic cover remove it under it will be a screw. Next your window switch will just pry up and out, disconnect the wiring, under the switch there will be a screw ataching the door panel to the door. Next on the face of the door panel if there is a small cover about the size of a nickle but elongated, remove the cover and remove the screw below it. Next pry the door panel from the bottom untill it "pops" out and grab it and pop the rest of the panel out, lift the panel up off of the window ledge.

My 1996 GF1 impreza just wants to run at 2000rpm. This happens when i engage the gear. When i disconnect the throtle position sensor, everything cools off, adjusting the same sensor while connected do

Hi.From your description it looks like you have a defective TPS (The TPS is the position sensor on top of the throttle body that you are disconnecting).Signal from the TPS is very important for different vehicle's functions. Among other thing the TPS output is used by the electronic ignition system to determine the fuel mixture being injected and by the automatic transmission to determine when to change gear. In your case the transmission was probably not shifting into higher gears, for that reason the engine was not revving above 2K rpm.The TPS can be tested reading voltage at its terminals while someone operates the throttle pedal. Voltage must increase/decrease smoothly and stay in range, otherwise the TPS must be replaced. As said at start your problem is likely a defective TPS. The fault is quite common and it is fixed replacing the TPS.Regards.Ginko

MY 1996 WRX STARTS CUTTING IN AND OUT WHEN DRIVING

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation.
If the problem still persists, I suggest that you have the fuel pump and ignition coil checked. During hot temp this two can fail specially when they are near it's break point.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
