97 Sable no voltage to any power windows/ replaced

The circuits get their power from the BATTERY SAVER RELAY (K115) which feeds the ACCESSORY RELAY (K65) which feeds ONE TOUCH WINDOW RELAY (K50) and all the the other power window circuits.
Central Junction Box (CJB).Check power to fuse F26 and F10. -------- The fuse 26 and 10 located in the CJB. ------- The common problem for no power at all windows is broken wires in the door jamb on the drivers door. The flexible conduit the runs between the driver door and the body where the wires run through the door jamb to the door the wires break. Check for power at the driver master window switch wire at the window switch panel. If no power, pull the rubber conduit back and check the same wire in the door jamb for broken wires. This wire feeds the drivers power window switch panel, which is called the master window switch panel, then it feeds power to all the other switches on the other doors. We see allot of the wires getting broken from opening and closing the drivers door over time.
----------------
But if wires checked ok, then its problem with module.----- The GEM module which is bolted to the dash fuse box. It controls these relays to work the power window circuit. This can be tested with a scan tool that can communicate with the GEM module. --------- If all checked ok, then this module needs to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Power drain new battery,alternater

if the battery is being drained there is something causing it to happen, check that all the lights are off glove box, trunk, you may have to get someone to get in the trunk & close it to see if the light goes out, when it is dark lift the hood & move the wiring everywhere you can to see if there are any sparks that might indicate a bare wire touching something.....hope this helps......cheers.

MY SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT

A flashing check engine light usually indicates an engine misfire it flashes to let you know that the problem is severe enough that you could possibly damage the catalytic converter.

You best bet is to scan the computer and find out what codes are present.

otherwise if it is running ruff you can do the basics like check for spark to each plug or check the plugs to see if they are fouled, carbon tracked, or worn out. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa

I can start up my 97 Mercury Sable just fine. But

If your engine stops abruptly, you could have a torque converter clutch malfuntion. Not terribly common on taurus, but have seen it. Car will bang hard into gear and stall if this is the case. Possible to be electrical but probably would need a new torque converter,

NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH ??????

It's not hard at all to replace. It's located on your transmission, if you're some what mechanically inclined than that's a wonderful start. Look up a blueprint of the engine and locate it directly. A new one is around $40 or $80 depending on whether it's an 8 pin or an 11 pin. Good luck!

1997 Mercury Sable --Neutral Safety Switch ????

I also have a 1997 Mercury Sable, and had this exact same problem. And you're right, it is the neutral safety switch. If you do some research you'll see that Ford Motors seemed to slack when it came to these engine models, because the 1997 model of Ford Taurus has the same problem too. It's not a hard fix, it's located right on the transmission. You need to find out if it is an 8 or 11 pin switch, because the price varies. Just go to your local AutoZone and ask for some assistance. If you take it to a mechanic, they're going to keep trying different things and charge you a boat load of money. I hope I was helpful. :)

We have a 1997 Mercury

if its an after market radio , they at times come with their own fuse, which would be located in line with the Hot 12v supply to the radio itself, If its the original radio that came with the vehicle,, check the fuses with a meter rather than just by sight,, sometimes the fuse looks good but has blown so close to the edges , its hard to tell, since you have 2 things out, I'd check them all

My dome light wont go

It is probably one of the door switches. Sometimes someone can knock them out of alignment with very little pressure. If you open each door and wiggle the switches, you should be able to "feel" which one is loose. If you have to replace one, then you will have to take off the side kick panels.
