Where can I get a crosmember

Hello, Try your local Salvage yard or this Website. Car-parts.com who will list your request with Salvage yards across the country.

The different Salvagers will have prices and condition, phone numbers and even warranty info for some parts. They ship the parts directly to you or you can pick them up. Often they put up photos on the internet so you can see before you buy.

A site like this is particularily good for frame parts which could be rusted in Rustbelt states, so like Texas, Arizona, and others not using roadsalt would be good places for you.

I hope my Solution is very helpful to you. I doubt if the Ford Dealers have this part. You might have luck with 1stFordParts.com or Newfordparts.com for some of your needs.

The air conditioner fan on my 2001 Mercury Marquis

Hello, You can try two things. Look at the underside of your hood on the passengers' side. Follow the wires from the blower motor to a connector that is about centered on the Firewall behind the engine and directly behind a heater hose.

The connector goes to the Blower fan ballast resistor. The connector just unplugs and there are 2 screws holding the part onto the car. Sometimes if you take a screwdriver handle and tap on the connector, the part will work again. If this does not fix it, then you need a new part.

When you get a new or used ballast resistor, make sure the engine is cold when you work on it. Put the good part where you can reach it with 1 hand. Undo the connector, 2 screws and let the part stay in place. Then undo the hose clamp at the back of the engine so you can move the hose out of the way to install the part.

Using 1 hand on the disconnected hose, swing it aside and hold it. Use your other free hand to remove the old part and install the new one into the opening. Then immediately reattach the hose to its fitting and secure. Because you did this on a cold engine, you should have only lost a minimum amout of antifreeze. Now you are ready to secure the new part and attach the connector.

The blower fan should work immediately when you turn on the Ignition provided the A/C controls are set to work. That is all there is do. Pour a little clean water over any spilled antifreeze. I hope you find my Solution very helpful.

How do i take off the ignition control module on a

The module is bolted to the distributor with either two T-20 torx bolts or 2 7/32" bolts. They make a tool just for removing these that has both bits. If they are the torx bolts than a t-20 torx bit should work. If they are the 7/32" bolts you will need a very thin wall 7/32" socket. A regular socket will not work.

The tool is very cheap, available at most part stores, and will save you a lot of time.

After you have the bolts out pull straight down on the module and it will unplug from the pickup coil located in the distributor. Don't be surprised if the pickup coil disintegrates when you remove the module.

The other thing is sometimes you'll need to rotate the distributor to gain access to the bolts. There is a bolt that holds a retainer that clamps down on the distributor when it enters the block. If you have to rotate it mark the distributors position before you loosen anything so that you know where to set it back to when you are finished. I took off the calaper but the disc would'nt

No. There should not be any thing holding the disc in place. It should slide right off. It seems that the disc has overheated and somewhat "melted" in place. To remove the disc, use a rubber mallet (if possible) to tap the back side of disc evenly. You may also use a regular hammer, but be careful not to hit the disc to hard. The disc is actually held in place by the caliper and the wheel.
