Need to replace front disk brakes on my 2002 Lexus
No you don't have to remove any lines to replace brake pads. There will be a sticker on top of your fluid reservoir that says what DOT number fluid you need. It could also be stamped into it, or printed directly on it, it's different with different car companies. The higher the number the better the fluid. But use whatever it says because you don't want to mix fluid types, that's always a bad idea.
Where is the oil filter located on a 2002 Lexus
look on are near the oil pan it should be very close to the side of the engine if its not on the side of the engine then its in the oil pan you can tell this if there is a bolt bigger than the drain plug.
2002 Lexus ES300 Check Engine Light
You can disconnect your battery for a short period of time, 5-10 minutes should do it. There is no guarantee that the check engine light will not come back on in time, but it will make it go away at least temporarily. If you go to Autozone, 99% of the time they will hook up a code reader and diagnose your problem. It may be a minor and/or inexpensive fix. Please vote appropriately and leave feedback. I hope this helps and good luck.

Will not crank
Naw, not really odd. That usually happens when there is a bad batt ground connection. Remove and clean the battery cables, pay close atention to the negative cable. snug them down and make sure the post is not broken where the bolt goes if it is a side terminal battery. Good Luck_Ned_
How to change the air
The engine air filter in a 2002 lexus ES300 is located in a black box behind the battery. It should have a thick air hose connecting to it which is the air intake. Open the two 10 millimeter bolts holding it together and open it and replace the filter.
Drivers do will not open
very difficult. you literally must rip the door trim panel off the door. its made to come off with the door open. sounds like the actuator cable for the latch is disconnected or broken. just because the lock looks unlocked that dosent mean it is, it may be the lock cable at the latch. the latch assy is located inside the door.
How do you change the car battery on a 2002 lexus
This is a simple procedure, but acid is involved. Wear old clothes and latex gloves and safety glasses.
The battery is visible under the hood. Disconnect the RED positive cable first, often with a 10mm wrench, gently turning the nut counter clockwise.. Hold the cable clamp with a latex gloved hand while doing so and do not twist the wrench unless the clamp is secure or you could snap a battery post. BE Cautious not to touch your wrench to any other metal during the procedure.Next remove the negative cable, same way.
Match the battery with a new one , same dimension, EXACT same terminal locations.
You will generally want a battery with a minimum of 500 CCA rating, this is Cold Cranking Amps. Installation is reverse of removal, clean clamps first with tooth brush, baking soda and water .
Be safe wash your hands and wear goggles or SAFETY GLASSES just in case. ACID will burn your skin and clothes if you tip or spill or break the battery. Dispose of the old one at your battery store. Carry in a rubber bin.
Where do i find the recharge valve on lexus es300
theres two schrader type valves on your a/c system. one for the high side and one for the low side. the high side is in front of the radiator, and the low side is way in the back left side of the engine bay if your facing the front of the car. I wouldnt reccomend servicing this system yourself. if you overcharge the system as in with a can from autozone, it wont cool your car down. I see it all the time.
