At each end of the gas spring lift cylinder there is a spring steel "U" shaped clip, pry it off and the shock comes right off the ball socket.

You must have the dealer scan the system with a special tool to see what is causing this unwanted activation of the vehicle stability control system.

Hi there:When this comes on as it has it means: When the center differential is locked, VSC control turns off and the VSC OFF indicator illuminates. This is straight from the Lexus diagnostic chart.The system is faulted in some way so you will need to have the fault memory read out, and then depending on what fault code or codes are stored will determine the type of diagnosis that will need to be performed.A dealer would be your best bet to get the cause determined. Their scan tool, when hooked up to you vehicle will give them all of the information they need to rectify your condition. The radio is probably locked out due to the antitheft system. It needs to have the security code (PIN) entered to get it working again. If you do not know the PIN. you will have to take the car to the dealer to get them to unlock it for you.

By now, your car probably has on average over 100,000 miles. I good solid tune-up with spark plugs and wires my solve your problem. However, your fuel injection system my be to blame as well. Have a qualified mechanic trouble shoot your problem.

Check your gas cap, it may not be sealing properly that's why your getting the VSC light on the dashboard. Eventualy the light will go out after you fix. Good luck.
