Blown Lexus ls400 engine
Smoke is a sign of engine burning oil, which is caused by faulty piston rings, in most cases it's cheaper to have another engine installed in the car, instead of having work done on pistons.

Front turn signal bulb burned out on 1999 Lexus LS
turn the bulb housing, a quarter turn, it will pop out. turn the bulb a quarter turn, it will pop out. take it to auto zone and they will give you a new one. :) some of these lexuses have a securing ring that is a little bit of a pain, mess with it a little bit and you will figure out how the pin comes off. usually just a little carefull twisting and squeezing.
Replacing tail light bulb in a 1999 Lexus LS 400
Replacing a bulb on a Lexus is rather easy but a little involve. You can actually locate the wiring harness by removing the trim panels within your trunk. There are typically two cargo hooks that screw out found on either side of the trunk opening.
Also, there are Christmas tree push pins found on the trim panels located on the the trunk sides and the upper part of the trunk.
Furthermore, there is a plastic trim panel along the inside front of the trunk that may need to be removed. Bottom line, remove as much as you need to in order to gain access to the tail light wiring harness.
All that is next is to find the appropriate light socket that holds the light that needs to be replaced. Carefully twist the light socket to the left and pull the light out of taillight. Then pull the light out of the socket and place the light back into the appropriate hole and twist to the right about a 1/2 to lock the socket in place.
Then, replace the trim panels, push pins and screws.
In most cases, you will only need to pull the trim panels back far enough to reach you hand in to replace the light.
How do i reset brake ware indicator
The brake wear indicator is a small metal stone-like sensor that attaches to the brake pad. Once the pad wears down to a certain level, it begins wearing into the sensor, breaking the circuit open.
Once the light has come on, the appropriate sensor (front or rear) must be replaced to return functionality.
Factory brake pads usually come with new sensors. Aftermarkets do not, and often have no provisions for attaching them either.
Alternately, you can bypass the brake level sensors by splicing the two wires for the sensor together. You will no longer have brake level warnings if you do this however.
Cabin Air Filter Installation
Back upper right corner of your glove box tray has a pop out or not/mine either fell out or was never there. Look back in the upper right corner with glovebox open you'll see the slot where the cabin air filter goes.

Replace serpentine belt.
The cars on fire! Run for your lives! No actually it kinda depends on the reason you replaced the belt. If it was broke to begin with, you might have a frozen accessory pulley or idler pulley might have failed. Otherwise I would look for a friction point somewhere along the belts path. Also depends on the type of smoke you're talking about ie; Rubber smoke, oil smoke, or electrical smoke.
Starter replacement
Honestly, it is usually cheaper to purchase a rebuilt starter. It costs more because you usually have to buy a rebuild kit and sometimes need to have machine work done to the commutators on the armature of the starter. It can actually cost you more. What is nice with a rebuilt starter is they have a warranty and have mostly new parts in them. If you try and fix a starter another part can just wear out down the line and the process will repeat itself. This way you can replace it once and be done with it. If you turn the key and the starter does not even click you may be able to just replace the solenoid. The solenoid is the smaller cylinder located on the starter houseing.
