For the LS400 1UZ-FE V8 the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, RH from
the front 2-4-6-8, LH from the front 1-3-5-7. The RH/LH of the engine

Engine cranks, but won't start
well it could be the fuel pump or a relay but your pump is in the tank and as for the relay just look under the hood on the driver side about midway towards the windshield you will see a relay box.
your car may also no be getting any spark or you may just have bad plugs
Running hot
MY LS-400 IS RUNNING HOT WHAT CAN I DO TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM
Car shutting off
Good place to start is changing fuel filter first , if not done yet.
Steering wheel wont go up
Well this isn’t a good solution to the problem but I had the same thing and I just unplugged the sensor so I would be able to used the tilt feature without problem I imagine if I get a new sensor the problem will be fixed. When its plugged in it won’t let you move the wheel up and down with out issues if at all but if you take off the cover and unplug the sensor on the right side it will let you tilt the wheel. Also I saw a TSB saying the wires were to tight and this is what the problem was I loosened them up but I am pretty certain it is my sensor. Hope this helps.
Air suspension
Is it a self-leveling suspension? If so, then most likely one of the sensors at th front has failed or at least has become dirty or contaminated, and will need cleaning or replacement.
Engine smoke
hi,i heard of this potential problem when asking an online lexus mecanic, about a p steering pump leak,he asked if i hald any white smoke from the tailpipe i didnt, but he said sometimes the power steering fluid can be sucked up through a tube or such and you could see white smoke from your car.maybe ask this question to a mecanic.
Dash warning light
You have to reset it. Try removing one of the battery terminals then put it back on.
