The injectors open and close to feed fuel to cylinders based on data they receive from various censors. If the wrong info is fed to the ecm, this results in the injectors opening too long or too short what ever the case may be. there will be no sound , no fuel pressure and it will not start however a bad fuel pump may be the result of other failed units including the relay , pressure regulator, wiring , EVAP system so run the fault codes first to eliminate all other possible causes for the pump not working

what about having the fault codes read ( should have been the first step) the money that you have spent may have been wasted if the timing belt is broken, the immobilizer is operational, cam.crank position sensor problems , no fuel pressure from faulty fuel pressure regulator

Emissions, somewhere, lots of possible causes. Usually a bad fuel to air/mixture causing the sputtering from the fuel not properly burning. Look for any error codes first and fix those first. A MAP is easy to change and cheap so often people replace that first if needed and move on to other emissions parts.

check for a broken wire inside the boot that runs from the drivers door to the body.

Putting the battery in backwards can cause all kinds of electrical problems. There is a fuse block under the hood and you should check those fuses. Also there are fused links (wires) that are designed to fail and they are hard to detect. This could be a very expensive repair.

With no antenna or bad antenna you would get a hiss instead of music when using the radio, but when playing CDs you would hear music. If the amp or wiring or all of the speakers have a problem, it could stop all sound.

Hi Fredrick, If petrol has mixed with the engine oil it is a symptom which usually points to one or more of the injectors leaking. The fuel is pumped continuously into the combustion chamber and is leaking passed the piston rings into the sump. Do not try to start the engine! Have the injectors replaced and then drain the engine oil and replace the oil filter. It may be a good idea to start up and let the engine idle for about fifteen minutes and then replace the engine oil and filter again. Then off you go and happy motoring. Regards John

check inside the boot where the drivers door swings .the wires sometimes break inside the boot because of the drivers door being used the most.Just **** the cover with a razor blade and check it out.If there is a broken one (or 2) it's bestto pull the harness but you can use a **** connector or solder and tapebut it's a tight squeeze.Best guess ,odd problem.

The clicking you can hear is the solenoid on the starter motor clicking but the actual starter motor it's self is not turning, This could be due to a poor earth connection between the motor and battery, A discharged battery or a defective starter motor, You need to have an auto electrician check your battery voltage/current and if they are ok it will be your starter motor that is at fault, Also check to make sure the connections to the starter motor are tight as they can shake loose.

Check the speed sensor on the transmission for loose wires or broken wires ,also in the fuse box one fuse controls the speedometer ,rpm .well the check engine light .usually that's the 20 amp fuse .

Yes, this is correct performance for your light, BUT the issue remains, as you know, because the light comes back on. You need to get a code reader, pull the codes and proceed on that indication. REMEMBER the codes are a CLUE and not necessarily the answer.... A vacuum leak, for example, would throw an error code of lean, miss fire, and oxygen sensor, and possibly other codes....
