What is the pin thingy on a vehicle speed sensor? I just replaced mine, and I didnt know there was one.

I really need more information to help you. However it may be a retaining pin to hold the cable on it.

Whats wrong with Helen?

The speed sensor might be bad. I used to own a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse with the same symptons. The car will start, but will not pass the 1st or 2nd gear, the speedometer will be at 0. I replaced the speed sensor and all the problems went away.

What function? 50 amp main, closest to firewall, under hood? Looks like someone rigged it to stay on, but what did that kill?

The 50 amp main fuse should be able to be tested with a standard test light. If it has continuity then it is OK. If it is bad then replace it and retest. First thing that comes to mind on a Honda with your symptoms is a fail ignition distributor or bad ignition coil. I would advise you to test for spark at the spark plugs and if you have none, then start testing the distributor.

95 Civic Fuel pump not turning on

You said you baught a new pump, filter and relay, get a voltmeter or agitator and test each of the wires, if your not getting power to it then its probably a hot wire coming from your battery terminal or one of the wiring harnesses coming out of your firewall, you probably know that the fuel pump access panel is underneath the back seat so take it off, test the ground first with the car on then test each individual hot wire, if you find a faulty wire see if you can manually fix it, if not then run a hot wire from the source using speaker wire or something similar until it turns on for you at contact with the ran hot wire, just be sure that you do hav gas in the pump while testing wires just not enough to blow yourself up lol, otherwise you will burn out your fuel pump motor.

Ignition lead sparks without sparkplug but when i connect sparkplug it doesnt spark

Are you earthing the body of the spark plug? Sorry, but I don\'t know what level of electrics or mechanics your at. If you hold the ht lead which is not advisable the spark will jump to its easiest route. Let me know we can then take it from there

Timing marks

timing belt book, public library, or use their database. if you repair engines and are asking this, thats a good place to verify your info. (and the belt must have broken).a technician would notice the position before disassembly. be aware, the valves may have bent. you may want the haynes manual. they can get you one. where i live i can get their chilton manual at home by typing in my library card number. engine repair has alot to it when you are replacing that belt on that kind of car. i suggest reading the book. you will want seals and a water pump too. i hope the 4 exhaust valves did not get bent

Does anyone have a solution for removing a spark plug which is in so tight that we keep breaking ratchet extensions and easy outs are not reaching far enough.

Soak around the plug with WD40 and use a Snap extension and ratchet or an air impact driver.

Can i replace my frobt hub with the axle still attached

if the nut is stuck , way not get expert help.it will come of in the right hands (heat, and impact gun)or heat axle to about 200F. to 300fthe as it cools hit it with penetration oil. as it cools it may suck in the oil (physics trick)and now the impact gun. no shop air, makes hard work on any cars.so if no shop air, use a 1/2 drive or more breaker bar.and use a pipe extenson, most 1/2 will snap at over 150lbs.so 3/4" works better but the impact gun works best.you can youtube this > why not do that.?here is first google hit on hubshttp://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/1995/honda/civic/driveshaft_-ar-_axle/wheel_hub.htmlor here is honda real.what you need is obvious. if you just look at the real drawings.brake page and hub,http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=1996&catcgry3=2DR+DX&catcgry4=KA4AT&catcgry5=FRONT+BRAKE+%281%29tell my how would you pass the hole hub thru the small, hole in the knuckle spindle.you going to buy a whole new axle and knuckle.http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=1996&catcgry3=2DR+DX&catcgry4=KA4AT&catcgry5=KNUCKLE?????????????????
