1987 accord LX, 2.0L, carb. Dumping gas into the

sounds more like coolant getting in to your engine or a bad rad.if exhaust was dark and smells of oil then woud be rings allowing oil into engine white exhaust indicates water or coolant in engine I would have a reputable garage check this for you also check to see if you enginge block has streaks of oil onit and even outside fenders if this is so either exhaust problem could indicate a cracked block

How do I remove the radio on a 1987 Honda Accord

Radio & Tape Player
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. If so equipped, disable the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  2. Remove the floor console and the front console panel. On 1984-85 cars, if access to the back of the radio may be gained through other means, such as removing the "pocket" from the console, the console need not be removed.

Radio mounting on 1986-89 Accords

  1. Remove the ashtray and ashtray holder.
  1. On 1986-89 cars:
  2. Remove the coin box, air vents and ashtray lighting bracket.
  3. Remove the dashboard switches on the left and right of the steering wheel.
  4. Lower the steering wheel to its lowest position. Remove the dash visor. This is a large, one-piece assembly which includes the center dash trim. It's plastic; don't break it.
  5. Remove the two screws holding the radio at the rear of the unit.
  6. Carefully push the unit out the front of the dash. When access is gained, disconnect the multi-pin connector and the antenna cable from the unit. Remove the unit.
  7. Reinstall in the reverse order. Take great care not to damage the dash trim and instrument visor. Make certain the connectors are firmly and squarely installed. If applicable, be sure to enable the SRS.

I need to know what the frame piece in the front

do you mean the top piece at the front of the car that the bonnet closes down on to if this is what you mean then this is called a slam panel you can either buy them from main dealers or from most car body repair shops these would be a lot cheaper thant the main dealers you would pay less than a quater of the price of main dealers, now i live in the uk but if you live out side the uk then it would be difficult for me to give you names and addrs of places near to you.

Let me know if you need further assistance ok

1987 HONDA ACCORD LX WATER LEAK

Yes, there is a "bypass outlet" coolant hose that connects from the water pump inlet pipe (metal pipe that runs from back of water pump along engine block to lower radiator hose) to the intake manifold.

I am not sure about the "black box" - not enough detail.

Hello! Gary, I hope you might be able to help me

I just personally went through somewhat of the same problem, but it happened sporadically when ever the car felt like it, and as it turns out, after i replaces the shift control and the lock-out solenoids along with my speed senor on my tranny, the problem was my transmission ECU, which brand new was 1700 dollars, but i went to the junk yard and pulled one for $48. Its located under the carpet on the passenger side, where the passengers feet would be, and it should be the one on the right, the other computer is the Pgm-fi. If you replace this small box, it should fix your problem.

Do i drive in in d4 or d3

D4 is what you want to drive in unless you are pulling something or have a large load in the vehicle.

When you are in d3, it does not allow the transmission to shift into 4th gear.
