Lx cars are really sensitive towards battery requirements..did y install a right battery? Do you have any mil light in dash?

Check if you have a leak of power steering fluid...if yes...locate the leak...fix it...refill

oh my goodness!, to turn the horn sound (when you unlock the doors) up or down on a 1997 es, reach under the steering wheel under the dash and you'll feel a knob there. turn it. I have this car and found the knob last night, turned it, realized what it was for.

If not labeled in you manual then I would look for the fuse that is for the trailer harness. You may not have a hitch but I would bet you still have the harness.

It may have been cheaper to take it to a shop to get checked first. So many things have been replaced and we do not if done correctly or necessary.

Why didn't you ask your mechanic what this was? I never heard of a PVS. I have heard of a PVC valve, but that is not likely to fail your smog test. Does the car have any trouble codes?

2, The purge valve and the vent valve. The one by the canister is the vent valve. The purge valve is close/mounted to the engine. Follow the lines.

Did you attach everything back the way it was before you took it apart? Sometimes those abs sensors get ruined in the process. Diy on my car and messed it all up. Try disconnecting battery to reset it if you think everything was put back correctly.

lost power, hot/ lots of reasons. i can list 50 bad parts. or more........ but wont. we do the tests and let the chips fall. so if the RPM of engine rises, fast , and not car. that is tranny slip but if its not tranny slip, then its lost engine power which is it, we drive car and see that in 1 second.

change or have the computer looked at. they are known for going bad.

The reason for this light to turn on is that the computer has detected a malfunction, most likely from one of the input sensors, there are diagnostic codes stored which have to be retrieved in order to make some kind of diagnosis, most autoparts stores like autozone do this at no charge in most states in the US, you can reply back and let me know what code numbers are and I'll be happy to continue from there.

does sound like a mounting type symptom i would get the engine and transmission mounting points checked ASAP as could be damaging the chassis,or even the mounting points on the engine/gearbox which could cost a fair amount to replace , the other possability is the drive shaft may have to much free play and at start of movement it could cause a jerk ,this again would need looking at very soon as could be causing damage to the drive train etc

My first hypothesis: Low or dirty transmission fluid may cause a lag on acceleration (due to inadequate pressure at idle), followed by a jerk as the transmission is forced to catch up to the engine.
