Hi Sam: I'd recommend that you check the level of the transmission fluid.

Most cars have the dash light wire in the wires going to the radio. Did you use a store bought adapter the plugs into the honda wire harness to connect the radio? Idf not you may have the dash light wire grounded with the radio and it's blown the dash light fuse. first unplug the radio. then go though the fuse and find the blown one under the dash fuse panel. Replace the fuse.( if their not uswed up the fuse panel has extra fuses and thier marked as spares). try the dash lights, if their workingyou need to find the wire at the radio and make sure it"s not being connected to ground. You might need to use a test light to look for power and when you find it turn the lights on and off the be shure that you have the right wire. If it's still not working you may need to investagate the dash light dimmer swich that turns the brightness up and down to the dash lights. The overload as the radio was connected possibly wrong can blow this switch instead of blowing the fuse. The swich pries out of the dash and you can test it withthe test light. One wire is ground ones the power from the dash panel fuse coming from the headlight switch and the other is the lights thems selves. This switch it'self lights in the dark, so it has a ground for it's bulb.

Could be the Ignition Switch. Bad ignition switches can cause a car engine to shut off or stall. 1999 Honda Accords are known for having defective ignition switches installed, which Honda issued recall. Check with a Honda dealer to see if your model is part of the recall group & qualifies for replacement. I’m currently on my third ignition switch, this last one I replaced myself.

You need to get a fault code reader on this. It could be many things and this will help narrow it down to make a diagnosis of symptoms a bit easier. They aren't expensive and will pay for themselves in one use. Sounds like the Torque Converter Solenoid, but it could easily be something else.

That transaxle has long been a problem for Honda & they have NEVER really properly engineered it to be free of defects Unfortunately. I had a similar problem at around 66,000 miles with my V6 Accord EXL Coupe & at that time Honda did the right thing and repaired the transmission but made me pay for the labor (a fair yet semi-expensive) fix but reasonable. Then more recently around 152,400 miles the transmission failed again & began slipping. I had asked for Honda to do another fix of the transmission & I pay for the labor BUT they refused. I find it sad when a major company does not stand behind a product they know has had defects & issues throughout the entire product line of the V6 Accord & Odyssey (which use the same transaxle) & instead states from the warranty booklet (which I understand but think a Honda vehicle should last for several hundred thousand miles) especially when the owner followed & follows all of the recommended preventative maintenance in the service handbook from Honda...especially when the car looks like it is brand new & now it has a New Transmission too...no thanks to Honda corporate :)

Most likely, 1 or more of the 4 drains are plugged. There is 1 on each corner. The fronts are visible withe the sunroof open. I use compressed air to blow them out, if needed. Pour a little water in the corners to see if it flows to the ground. It helps to park on a hill to test the rear drains.
