Most likely you have a collapsed brake line or a sticking caliper that is causing your brakes to not relieve the fluid pressure when you take your foot off of the break

Either register your car on-line with Honda to get the code or go to a Honda dealer.

It could be due to a number of things. Try to clean the spark boots. Also check for oil there too. If your talking about the accelerator going to high RPM's. Replace or rebuild the transmission. It's old and tired, and majorly plugged up.

Hi Pamela: Possible fuel flow problem. Suggest you check fuel filter and fuel pump.

the torque specs for the crankshaft pulley bolt on the 2.2 liter engine is 181 foot pounds

The most common cause is a faulty fan relay. The relay should be off if the key switch is off.

look for the code in the hand book. if needed look it up on the honda factory site, may need vin number.

Could be the new battery . Check the battery like this: Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car. If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok. Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine. If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection. Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses. Hope this helps.

brake light switch is faulty. It is under dash near the brake pedal. They can sometimes come loose or just fail. Sometimes a small rubber grommet is misaligned or broken off.

Could be the ignition coil or ignition module. Also check the ignition fuse.

Turn on the wipers and listen you should hear the motor running if the Linkage broke, and since the wipers were out of range hitting off the glass that does sound like the linkage.

Check the belts for slippage and wear. If the tension is not correct, the belts will slip and create a "squealing" noise...moreso at higher rpms or on acceleration as you mentioned....That is the most common cause for a "squeel". I would check that first.
