Oil leaking above filter could it be oil sending unit
Could be the oil pressure switch. But ive also seen the oil filter housing leaking on thesed 2.2L accord engines. If its coming from even higher then all of that then its the valve cover gasket leaking. i Suggest cleaning off the engine first with brake cleaner to really see exactly where it is coming from
Accord sunroof
there is a button on roof behind sun roof. simply take it out and use crank in tool kit to roll open or close sunroof.
How to replace drive belts on 97 honda accord
The power steering pump should have a couple of retainer bolts, and then one adjuster bolt. Loosen the two retainer bolts slightly, then adjust the pulley back out of the way, slip the belt on, and use the power steering pump to tension the system.
Reset abs light
If the ABS light is on than there is an active problem with the ABS system. If it comes on and stays on when you start the car it is failing the self test. Repairing the problem will turn out the light.
If it comes on for a couple seconds when you start the car then goes out until you start to move than there is likely a problem with a speed sensor. Again repairing the problem will turn off the light.
Your best bet is to pull the codes from the abs system to see what the problem is then repair it. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Oil light comes on.
thats normal , key on, not started or stalled
but when does it?
if cold engine (bad to bone) (ever check oil levels at fuel fill up?)
if hot engine, bad.
the oil lamp can come on only with super bad low oil pressure.
3-5 PSI is the common oil sender rating.
running 0w oil? in this old car never designed for such oil?
is engine overheating?
is engine rpm at 300 rpm (BAD) ? 800 minimum. is correct.
dont drive it. or risk, spun rod bearings and sized cam shaft.
answer back and we can progress to more , tests.
Radiator replacement now car wont start
wont crank fast
or cranks ok but wont start.
you must have knocked something loose. a wire or connector.
check carefully.
unless the reason for new parts, was overheating. DID IT?
if yes, compression test is next.
the 3 majors: are
- compression over 150psi.
- spark on all cylinders
- and fueling correct.
1,2,3, on all gas engines. in that order too.
going backwards while fun? is fail.
Fuel line
1: need tune up, every 60k miles, do that ever?
2: EGR valve stuck open, if wide open throttle power is ok.
3: if WOT power is lacking, weak fuel pressure, clogged fuel filter (that missing tune up again) or clogged injectors.
3: weak spare (dang there goes that tuneup thing again.
and if misfiring 50 more things. is it?
is the CEL lamp glowing key on, and stay out running.
no, the lamp glows, running?, then scan it.
using any scan tool.
1997 accord lx. Overheating at idle but not when moving. I hear cooling fan come on after I turn off ignition, What can it be?Should fan come on when I turn on AC?
fan not running full speeddirt and junk packed in the radiator. up front, both if A/Csure the fan must come on overheated. at all times.the FSM covers the tests for that, ever seen any FSM>????read the book or look on alldata.comif the fan works, and the rad fins are not packed full of junk, then the RAD tubes in side are clogged, (ask for simple $20 tool that tests this)all cars overheat , if the fan fails.no moving means there is no air, no air and the RAD is just a useless brick. the air must flow.it is really just a heat exhanger, coolant > air.is the AF at 50% , usning the $2 Prestone test tool?AF= antifreeze coolant.
