My lambo doors on my 1996 honda prelude are not opening right.

if the bracket allowed or was made to --slide out 1/2' first that probably wouldn't happen
would take a plate to bolt it to the front then a plate with slots for the other bolts -pins etc

Lambo needs a redesign --or a machinist may make the new thinner brackets for you
make sure that you only modify the in out not any more offset front to back ---Plate thicknesses and
what alloys?

Somewhat of an Engineer ---and I do the job of one albeit everyday ---Not a automechanic per say

I do Structural etc

Don't mind giving advice where I can ---PS : I like the Idea of Lambo doors on that car too

Did Lambo say this was a direct bolt in ? for that yr and model?
is there another set of hinges that they might trade you? Ask and be real nice to em and see
not good for Business to not stand behind that kind of aftermarket secialty part.

I'm a car nut --So I am familiar with Lambo abit
I used Porshe917Laser Hinges in the past w-no problem --a little cutting and mig welding and paint
1 hr = flawless
note: had an old school Lotus eight twin turbo was 2.8liter and about 500 horse and a top speed
of guestimated 230mph
A non limited -decrypted ford taurus sho 3.4V8 FWD will go 210mph STOCK ---might fry a stock trans though --Sub part in my opinion ---Mines Gr8t ---I Redid mine --nothing stock in it
I avoid reusing stock parts in transmissions --they know their sub part --only built to last 60,000 miles
but weld the FAULTY Cams first to the sprockets
car also drop nearly 2 inches in race mode over 3,500 rpm or install a toggle switch and bypass the SARC mechanism and full race Anytime
why spend 10,000 on suspension put the money in the cam welds and upgrade the stock
sub-par ---JUNK for brakes ---again big brakes necessary
Then drive the speed limit --save it for a track OK or Bonneville? free to run onc a year !
for that Y or Q rated tires Z rating is way too low --go with wider rims and tires but calculate the offset to turn proper and not rub

Best of luck --my 2 cents
2010 new (all wheel drive) SHO largest Ecotec V6 ever made +twin turbo stock est 365horse
before any mods

I won't buy it though --Honda's are fun to build and better for the enviroment

Honda integra 1996

hello andrei,

at least you were able to remove the ignition switch already.
the next step is to remove the special bolt that they used to hold the ignition lock at the steering, you can replace them anytime with ordinary bolts after you repair the ignition lock. they are like cone head which no tools could hold unto them( to prevent burglars from stealing your car) think of a way to remove these two bolts. either you cut them with a hack saw or use vice grip pliers or chisel it with a metal chisel and hammer.

after you removed the bolts, the pin and the key assembly can be removed and it would unlock your steering wheel.

tnx 4 using fixya,

ABS LIGHT STAYS ON

possibly the pump has packed up.if you still have brakes and they appear to work ok evan without power assistance then remove the bulb and hope its not picked up on the annual mechanical inspection when they do a brake test, other than that it will be fine and should save you being the golden egg layer.

Kitparts

Check the sproket on the camshaft for broken links and the gears on the crankshaft. if all this look good, then install the timing belt. If you do remove the camshaft sproket, make sure to mark it exactly where it is at compared to the mark on the engine. Do not turn the engine at all. Everything has to be aligned exactly.

I have a honda prelude

Hi So the new fuse blows up straight away? you cant check the wire like you are doing. Check with multi meter for continuity. then you will find the problem. You can put slight bigger fuse and see if that solve the problem.
