cold engine idle surge. (problem) RPM range of surge not stated300-700 or 800 to 1500? (range is critical to diagnosis)bad fuelrunning summer fuel in winter (running old fuel?) needs a tune up bad, see the list in the operator guide.idle speed controller,sticking or EGR valve same. (clean them)location not stated, so cant guess about local air temps.?no other symptoms, lack of engine power? etc?was it ok last week, or better, when was the last time it was OK?1week, 1year?surge , causes, on a tuned engine might be:1: too lean. so lean the ISC can not control idle. rpm low, stalling2: too rich, flooding, stalling, spark plugs foul (look at them)3: weak compression in 1 or more cylinders.4: bad spark.5: air leaks, in the plenum causing , ISC to lose control.why high RPM?especially?well that means it fails hot too.and there is a simple tests. for hot surge.is engine fully hot? 180F and holds solid there?say rpm is about 800and you turn on head lights, heater fan and (not AC) and defrost.the RPM must hold or the ISC is failing.ISC -= idle speed controls. (all EFI has this function)

Check the air intake sensor.

did you check the steering pump, AC compression pump, etc or other engine components ? it could be something other than the engine.

Bad or loose ground wiring. Check ground by driver side intake manifold

check owners manual, it should have location of the fuse box, and what each fuse corresponds with. fuses are easy and cheap to get at any car parts place.

use a test light

if smoke is white is water, mabe a blown gaket, is black mabe oil burnning, if is blue then maybe mix too rich. thanks

some check engine lights have to be cleared with a scanner or code reader

you need to get a real code scanner and get the real trouble code, it sounds like a problem with your vtec soleniod, check your oil level for starters and let me know what the trouble code is

sounds like ur clutch hydraulics arent workin ,cant build up pressure. chek ur fluid level in clutch master or if u have a cable clutch u should have 1 inch of freeplay at ur clutch pedal if not adjust ur cable under the hood to achieve 1 inch of freeplay .this insures that ur adjustment is right. finally if u have all of these okay then u would most definitely have a bad clutch disc,worn out. good luck hope this was helpful

call your local dealer with the serial number of the radio and make and model of your car....

its the thermostat ,replace it.....
