1993 honda del sol horn does not work. Horn

Im in the same boat with my 99 civic si. it is wiring in the steering wheel that is causing your horn to not work. it is a lot of work to replace the wire in the steering wheel, so if you want a horn, my suggestion is to wire the horn to a aftermarket switch. it is a cheap and easy solution and will get the job done.

Cranks wont start no rpms shifter stuck in park

You need to join a honda user forum and post the question there. Sounds like the ignition is not being turned on. First, click on the key is accessory then "run" where the fuel pump spins up and the ignition is powered up so the spark plugs get spark. The old relay might be good and the ignition wiring bad. Test the old part if you have it by touch a wire to the + and - and listen for a click.

How to hook kl-pro1 preformance module on a honda del sol 1.6 l

I do apologize for the vagueness of this response. Typically you need to wire it into the air intake sensor, this will bypass the actual sensor and make it think that it either needs more or less air depending on the function of the mod. You can often find this sensor on the air intake somewhere between the main filter and the engine and it should simply have 2 wires that go into the plug in sensor. You can often simply splice the mod into those 2 wires (should not matter what wires go where actually) and then you are good to go. I'm not familiar with that mod but it looks like it works on different cars and should come with specific instructions depending on what car you bought it for but it works on (i think) the CAN bus for the car to trick the ECU. So if you don't have instructions specific to your car then best guess is to hook it into the IAT (intake Air temp) sensor. Here is a google image of where the IAT sensor should be. Should I reset my ecu when I change the o2 sensor for a 94 del sol d16z6?

I believe if you are just changing it may not need to reset the ecu. but if you have a code and it is a faulty 02 sensor then you need to change the sensor and erase the code by disconnecting the ground cable of the battery for some time (I have heard from 10 sec to 2 min).

Where is power window relay

the FSM covers this as does alldata.com fuse 15 blown?> here is free (Del Sol, is unique) http://hondatech.info/downloads/Auto/Manuals/Civic/ they sell them at HONDA, and most auto stores. ok , i found the window schematic. there is no relay, well ,that you can unplug. do you have 12vdc to the door motor,? are all dead.?all motors? if all are dead the fuse #15 (10amps) is blown (top cause) the schematic shows: the fuse 5 switches to fail then to the "power window control unit" PWCU this controller runs all windows. if the inputs are good to the controller and the motors are good and not jammed, then the controller is bad. PWCU use a voltmeter at the motor that is dead. then work back from there, to the controller, part ID 15 here, shows the PWCU. this page shows ALL controllers. http://estore.honda.com/honda/parts/view-honda-parts-catalog-detail.asp?m=1994-del-sol-2-v-tec-5mt&sn=&b=B++1305&dl=# this is typical of all cars you can look online at any time and all cars. goggle "honda OEM parts"

AC heats normay but when put on cold no air comes out and doesnt work.... no abnormal noises what can it be ???? pls help

AC is Air conditioning and uses the condenser and is not typically used to heat your car. It sounds like you need a recharge of your refrigerant, and perhaps a new condenser or compressor.

Popping noise

the crank pulley itself wont.. the pulley actually bolts on to the end of the crank.. behind that pulley is where the mark is..there is also a mark on the cam sprocket under that cover..if you turned it by hand where was the rotor pointed when the cap was removed?..if the belt slipped it could be out enough to backfire thru the in take..

Throttle surge at idol

surge, great post, what engine displacement. open hood (my answers are USA only) look up, see big white sticker that is the engine vacuum and type engine sticker) surge hot or cold? engine. if it surges hot, that means : 1: ISC system out of control , it job is to stop surge and 5 more things. 2: the engine is way lean and cause ISC to loose control just 2 reasons, and can be 50 things. wrong. is the CEL lamp out running> if not, pull the DTC codes and post them. (all) as a mech ,we find out which it is. (i make sure my engine can hold closed loop at idle , if not and lean it will surge. (may) we make sure the ISC works ok (not sticking, clean it) and then test to see , that if by my forcing it closed, by hand (ask) i can get way below 800 RPM. most do 500 but 600 is ok. if rpm stays above 800 closed, that means you have huge vacuum leak or TV blackage (too thight throttle cable?) finding vacuum leaks can be horrific, task . there are many tricks (and tests) to do this, ask. see that logic above, If I the mech, can not drop rpm below 800 by hand, then no ISC on earth can. not now or ever. and proves the induction has huge air leaks or some dolt set the spark timing 20 degrees advanced. see it. so as always , a tuneup is first, then as always , i always check timing, and for proper advance rates. advances engines at idle race way too fast and the iSC will just go NUTS. ISC = Idle speed controller , that valve that has wires. the IAC is a thermal device and no wires and it too can stick open when the IAC sticks open the ISC goes , yes, nuts, nuts can be surge (ECU is hunting it) or just racing way too fast hot, say 1500 rpm. a slow RPm can be a stuck open EGR (50k service point) lean will cause too low. too rich , misfires and too low the ISC is the last thing to work right, all else must be good. what does your CEL lamp do? PS: most cars, if the ECU/PCM enters Limphome, it cuts all idle controls. again, the CEL lamp. glowing while running.../????

Removable top

Pull the roof liner down. Unfortunately, you may have to tear it down and damage it, but unless you get the liner down you won't be able to see the problem.Another possible solution, put a floor jack under the middle of the drivers side door opening and open both doors. Lift slightly, and see if it loosens the latch up. Some del Sol's get a little "saggy" in the middle after a few years.

Honda crx electric roof fault

Hi Paul
I dont know wether you have managed to solve your problem with the roof yet, but I have tried sorting out a simular problem. First off all if you need to reset the computor in the boot , to do this remove the 7.5 amp back up fuse under the bonnet for approx 10 seconds. before doing this make sure all locks are in the closed possition. Also make sure the roof mechanism is fully down. Once the fuse is back in and the key is in the ignition the car will go into diagnostic mode for the boot and roof.
The easy way to check the roof locks is to open passenger side and see if the car starts to beep if so close the lock and the beeping should stop this shows all is ok. Now do the same on the drivers side. After doing these checks you will need to reset the computer again with removal of the 7.5 amp fuse for 10 seconds.
Its worth checking the 20 amp fuse for the power door locks this fuse is under the dash board.

I hope this is some help.
