PCV Valve

location of the PCV valve

The PCV valve is located directly under the fuel rail on the driver's side, right behind your valve cover. Should be very easy to spot if you know what it looks like and you're looking right in that location.

Hope this helps :)

Sounds like you might have a caliper that is stuck and is not fully disengaging. If it is in the rear then you may have a bad rear caliper. Twoo things you can try. One is to crawl under the ca and adjust the tension two nuts on the emergency brake line. If that does not resolve the problem then remove the back tire and try to spin the drum or rotor whichever you may have. If it does not spin then try adjusting the e brake cable more if it still does not respond then you need to do a brake rebuild. Also does it pull while it is dragging? If it is then you will need to rebuild the brakes no matter what.

My 1993 honda civic speedometer and odometer do

My 1993 honda civic speedometer and odometer do not work, how can I fix the problem?

Check the cables and connector for the speed sensor. It's located on the transmission towards the firewall. The connector has three pins on it. I just had to replace mine, went to the junkyard and paid $3 for the connector, because it was corroded. If the cables are clean and OK then replace the speed sensor. It ranges in price from $65 to $105.

1993 Honda civic speedometer & odometer work intermittently

Speedometer & odometer work intermittently on my 1993 Honda civic. They can work fine then all of a sudden stop together then will start working again.. I've also noticed that the light on D4 will work only on occasion and wonder if this is connected. All other gauges are working fine. I only recently bought the car and had the cambelt changed and it was after that it seemed to start doing this. Can this be at all related? I have also noticed that the automatic transmission can sometimes on occasion change a gear a little bit roughly. Can this all be related?

the only thing that is related is the d4/rough gear changing
speed/ rpm malfunction is caused by your speed sensor on the trani (common problem) change it

Speedometer is stuck under zero

The speedometer was stuck at zero when I was going about 20mph and I tapped the dash to unstick it, exept it sprung past 20 and went all the way around back to zero. Now the needle is stuck underneath the pin it usualy sits on at zero, and I can't jar it back into position this time.

Pull the rubber trip reset pin out slowly so all you see is the hole & the shaft. Take a long tin-tie (about 5 inch) & fish it inside the speedo to the needle & carefully bring it back counterclockwise when its back at least to "2-3 O'clock" hold it & turn your switch to coil...the needle will go back to zero. keep the tin-tie in your coin box if ever it happens again!

civic hard to start, and when started shuts off

I have a 1993 honda civic that i can crank forever and eventually get it to start up. Once started, it idles about 2500 rpm's then just shuts off. I can start the process again, cranks forever starts up then same results. I have changed many components. Fuel pump does come on. Any suggestions? Could it possibly be a bad ignition switch?

Try this first, and lets see what happens. Turn key to on, but not start, then off. do that about four or five times, then try to start. See if it starts, runs, then dies. Let me know. Have you had fuel pressure tested at all? If it doesn't start and run for a short while at least, take air intake hose off at throttle body intake, open throttle and spray a good shot of WD-40 into throttle body, then try to start. If it starts, you have a fuel delivery problem, maybe fuel pump or plugged filter would be first to check. Just because you hear the pump, doesn't necessarily mean it's getting proper pressure to run. Let me know what happens when you try this, and we'll go from there.
