Won't start
Check if there is spark, eventually replace spark plugs.
Check air intake and air filter.
Check fuel filter and check that the fuel pump is fine, that there is pressure and pump is not noisy.
Alternator
There are 2 bolts that hold the alternator in position. One bolt is near the top of the alternator, the other is near the bottom. The bottom bolt threads through the end of the ADJUSTMENT bolt (which is at a 90 degree angle to this mounting bolt, and faces threaded end w/ adjustment nut to alternator). Loosen 2 mounting bolts, adjust tension at adjustment nut (near alternator), tighten 2 mounting bolts (upper bolt 33 ft lbs, Lower mounting bolt 18 ft lbs). countrycurt0
Belt removal or change
i'm not 100 percent possitive but i assume you will have to loosen the tensioner to serpetine belt and it should have a adjustment and just loosen the adjustment. if thats the case you can jump the power steering belt off and back on by prying it with a screw driver and rotating the crankshaft pully

Brake lamp light
How are the brakes acting? This means that you have a brake system malfunction, or that your parking brake is on. 1st thing to check is fluid level. If it's low the light will go on. If it is low, check for leaks. Is your brake pedal low, 'squishy' going to the floor, brakes fading? All of these are system problems. Release the parking brake (even if you don't think it's on, push down on brake release). If it's not adjusted properly, the light can come on. Although it could be a minor problem, don't screw around, find out what's wrong because you may completely lose your brakes next time out. good luck countrycurt0
1989 honda prelude
if you are somewhat mechanically inclined you should be able to follow these steps in order I put them. #1 Disconnect the negative battery terminal.#2 Disconnect the electrical terminals from the alternator.#3 Loosen the alternator adjustment and pivot bolts and remove the belt.#4 Remove the bolts and separate the alternator from the engine.#5 Remove the alternator bracket from engine.#6 Remove the fuel filter and any of the vacuum lines in the way.#7 Remove alternator from top of the car.#8 Installation is reverse of removal.
89 honda prelude power steering belt
there is an adjustment bolt on the back side of the idler pulley . you just loosen up the nut on the front of the pulley , then turn the 12 mm bolt under the pump on the back side of the pulley.
1991 PRELUDE NO SPARK SENCE
check your fuses, and battery terminals. or what happened with my 1990 prelude is the coil and camshaft positioning sensor gave out one day check those parts to see if they have enough ohms going throught them just take those parts to autozone they will tell you there.
How do i install a o2 sensor myself?
The sensors that you purchased were probably universal. These are
normally much cheaper than OEM replacement parts. They should have came
with wiring instructions and extra parts, you will have to re-wire the
harness. If you were not given the parts to change the plug then you
may have been given the wrong sensors. You should call the Auto Parts
store and double check the Part number to ensure that it is right. Also
it could be that the vehicle does not have heated O2 sensors, if this
is the case than you need to get O2 sensors that are not heated to
replace them.
Air conditioning
I think it is located in front of the radiator behind the bumper.
Fuel Filter
there's a small one under the hood in the fuel line and there is a larger one just inside the rear left wheel in a little basket you'll have to remove the wheel to get to it i hope this helps.
Brake pads
I don't need help with this any more. It seems the rust was to blaim, and with a small amount if lubrication at the top and bottom of the brake pad, they came right off.
Starting problem
Had similar problem with a Gemini. Try releasing the petrol filler cap before starting to equalise fuel tank/fuel line pressures.
I have a honda prelude
Hi
So the new fuse blows up straight away?
you cant check the wire like you are doing.
Check with multi meter for continuity. then you will find the problem.
You can put slight bigger fuse and see if that solve the problem.
