How to flush the radiator
After the car has been sitting still for awhile, so that the water isn't hot enough to scald you, open the top vent and put the vent aside. Next, open the stop **** at the bottom of the radiator, and let the fluid drain into a container that you have placed directly under the stop ****. That's so the fluid won't get all over your garage floor. After most of the fluid has drained out, then take your garden hose and fill up your radiator, then let it drain once more. After that, you can put in ethylene glycol ( engine coolant) and maybe an anti-rust additive if the fluid you drained looked brown or reddish. Make sure you closed the stop **** at the bottom of the radiator all the way. When full, replace the top vent, making sure it's also closed and secure completely. All done.
