S40, volvo, keep blowing a turn signal fuse

When a fuse keeps blowing everytime you replace it that means there is a short circuit along its cable. Check the flasher cables or call a car electrician to do it.

How much is the emission sensor?

All you did was clear all data by removing a battery cable or using a code reader to clear codes That info or data is needed to be seen on professional scan tool software, to find a system with a fault, then component test, to even find a vehicle problem Codes have little to do with a sensor being bad, have to test a sensor & even then it can be a mechanical issue as that is where sensors get their signal from.

Mechanic says I need new struts

Test this for your self first place your hands on a mud guard and press down repeatedly several times quickly then take your hands off and count how many times the car moves up and down before it stops Any more than 1 1/2 times indicates that the struts are on the way out . Next take it to a front end specialist and have them rechecked on a machine and get a read out of the movement. I would say at a guess that with that mileage there is every chance that you will need inserts and a top insulator blocks

My 2004 volov s40 is having starting problems

It sounds like the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm is broken, causing fuel to flood the engine when first started, then clear up and run fine. This is a common problem. let the vehicle sit for a few hours , then pulling off the vacuum hose to the regulator. Fuel may dribble out of the hose indicating bad regulator. You can also smell the end of the hose for a raw gas smell.

Volvo S40 oil filter housing diaphragm

If you have 2005 T5 the oil filter is located exactly in the red car picture above. Except its not a 32mm socket, use a 36mm socket and a break bar. If you cannot do it with these tools bring it to someone who knows what they are doing. Its a simple operation.

This would be water from the heating unit beneath the seat. Somehow this has gotten damaged. Consequently engine cooling system water now is leaking onto the floor and into the carpet. You mave have to remove the seat entirely, or it may be possible to access the heater and remove it for repair, without removing the seat.
