I would try the simplest solution first, while at idle pull spark plug wire off each one at a time. When you pull a wire and the motor slows or dies, that wire and plug are good. If you pull one off and nothing in the way the motor runs changes, the plug or wire is defective.

Do you know someone who can take you there?

There right it is the break booster is leaking common problems for these cars

Does the same thing happen when using the heater ? if so it would suggest the actual fan motor could be the problem , hope this helps

The problem is... Jolline Troy, What are you going to do when you know....(see bottom) Turbo or non-turbo engine??? (I posted TURBO BELOW... easy to change... just look). Your Volvo is having noticeable issues... and the indicator says Oxygen Sensor... (wrong). Which means they are sensing something ABNORMAL... If you put in NEW Oxygen sensors... You really are going to be out a bit of MONEY... but the symptoms... running poorly... possibly back firing... Even stalling (or ... ULTIMATELY ... not running at all... WON'T GET BETTER... simply because you changed a SENSOR. Your sensor is sensing an ISSUE... Hopefully... I have convinced you that when your eye beholds Rosie O'Donnell in a ********** outfit... Your eye is not the problem... (do not pluck the EYE out... (Change channels)). Like-wise... OXYGEN SENSORS detect issues wit EXHAUST SYSTEMS not burning cleanly ... TYPICALLY an EARLY SIGN of a CATALYTC CONVERTER failure... or a rusted muffler... ready to completely block your EXHAUST... halfway across the Gobi, Sahara, Mojave (etc.) deserts... or Manhattan in the commute. You are MOST likely in the market for a new catalytic converter or a muffler... Check out your parts prices on ROCKAUTO & AMAZON... before going to your LOCAL MUFFLER SHOP... If yu take it to the dealer... they will take it to the MUFFLER SHOP... and add $800 or $1000 to their bill.... It is not a tough job (as long as you know what penetrating oil and gloves are all about... (dirty though). Hope i'm helping... did you flash the computer to the 01 engine

Sounds like a crankshaft position sensor issue...you may be able to just clean it but more than likely it will need replacement which may not be particularly easy...depending on your skill level.

p0600 is a generic code. it could be several different modules. are there any status messages that come with the code to identify the effected modules?

Check your fuses as fuses do this too contact when cold then as they warm up they uncontact. (Cheaper) but sounds like you have a fault in the cluster send it to a speedo shop

The shift solenoids are both under the driver's side transmission cover. You have to pull the wheel, rotor, caliper, strut...There is a 1/2 solenoid and a 3/4 solenoid.

check for alternator and starter motor functioning ok , does it turn over and not fire up or not turn over at all?

check the codes first as can be an number of things.

Test your oil pressure sender remove wire should be earth with engine stopped. Start car and it should be open circuit... if not Test your oil pressure manually if ok replace sender
