Do i need to change the brake pads and discs???

No you don't, you can have them turn the brake disk/rotor . Turning the brake disk/rotor is when you have the surface of the disk resurfaced by having a brake lath cut the high spots down. The disk are cheap enough now that most will just replace the disk/rotor the same time they replace the brake pads. You can pick up performance drilled or slotted brake disk/rotor for almost the same price as the OEM disk/rotor. Good luck and hope this helps, you can pick up the slotted brake disk/rotor at Auto Zone for a reasonable price and they will have the step by step instruction replacing the disk and if you like to just have the disk/rotor turned, they can do they there too.

1999 volvo s40 2.0 turbo, engine fault caused after hard accelera

well that can be a pain to deal with down unda! Personally i think the traction control and the stumbles are not related. find out what the check engine light is, and go from there, could be as simple as a coil over, coil or set of plugs/wires or could be a gummed up throttle body, or vacuum leaks, check all the vaccum lines clean the throttle body test drive and , find the code and do some research and or post the code here and i will try to get back to you. a misfire code can be really helpful if it tells you which cylinder, if your over due for plugs just buckle down and replace them.i say dont throw parts at it because it might not help and get expensive, but cleaning the throttle body and checking vacuum lines, replacing plugs should be preventative maintenance in my book.use a throttle body cleaner can you can get a local parts store to clean out the throttle body. dont use carb cleaner as it could damage sensors, if your mind is stuck on the traction control and or you get the stumbling fixed start on that here :for the hard shifts check the transmission fluid for dark colors or burnt smells. then check out the motor mounts and trans mounts, but that should be done before moving onto the Traction control.anyways if you suspect the traction control start with checking all the abs sensors. can use a good scanner with live data to save you time and check to see if they are all giving you good readings.if no scanner is available you need to see if they can be removed from the hub, but be careful as they can break off inside. if they are removable from the hub check them for metal particles and make sure they arnt ground down on the ends, a bad hub will grind down the ends of them. if they look good then let me knowGood luck.

Hood will not lock on 2002 Volvo S40

Check if the left and right hight adjustable stops are to high. If you put pressure above the latch and it works. This will most probably be the issue.

Clicking relay under font speaker

That is not a relay in my opinion it is the gear drive AC/Heater temperature control blend door actuator, the gears are jumping over each others teeth and that makes a clicking sound. This is caused by a binding air temperature control door inside the dash near the speaker.

When I drive there is a loud grinding noise in front right side by tire, what could this be?

It could be a number of things, could be the brake disc grinding up against the Caliper, or it could be a wheel ball bearing, those are the most likely since it's a metal on metal sounds, my bet would be the disc brake though. Caliper might need adjusting, or your pads are worn down and rubbing against the disc. Hope this helps.

I am asking for position of the camlobs when timing without using marks

Cams are set with the #1 piston NOT AT TDC. You need the cam tool to set this. DO NOT EVEN TRY TO DO THIS WITHOUT IT. ther e are NO reference points which allow you to do this any other way. I am a 35 year master tech and trust me on this. It is not like other engines.

How do You change the antifreeze on a 2002 Volvo S40 1.9t

There will be a drain plug in the bottom of the Radiator so you can drain the old Coolant out. Close the drain plug and refill from the Coolant Tank on the inner fender well. Fill it with the engine off then start it up and finish filling to the full line on the coolant tank.

Is there a fuel kill switch on a 2002 Volvo s40?

did the airbag deploy? If it did then it is a serious repair. The engine wont start until the airbag is replaced. If there was no airbag deployment then the headlights being shorted or the other lights on the front being shorted are causing problems with the body control module. The body control module talks to the other computer and that is why it wont start.

Abs ligth an breake turn on, the break fluid is Ok

Very common problem on Volvo , ABS module is bad.
This is not effecting the brake system , meaning you'll still have normal brake operation , but on slippery road Anti Lock System won't work.
That system prevent wheels to be locked up by driver and prevent car going into spin.

My 2002 Volvo s40 will release hood from inside, but secondary latch will not allow hood to open any further. Just as an aside, the battery is dead.

Find a lever near the hood latch and push or pull it to release the hook. Then open the hood.
